He was carrying he pulled a counter punch in the 5th are 6th and u only do that in sparring not someone u want to ko and through the fight he wasn't putting his weight into punches he had the same set up that he broke Sanders eye socket and u can see he didn't swing as hard. Its really hard to ko someone u personally know, i would go to other gyms to let out my punches.

I’ll just repeat what I have read earlier “ Benavidez is a weight bully, only fought prospects (except Plant) and also he’s been on 168 for 10 years and never fought anyone that was a champ or had a belt”. I don’t think the reason Canelo looked bad is because he was “carrying” Munguia. I think it’s showing the decline just like vs the 154 Charlo. Canelo knows his body. That’s why when asked if he’s ready for Benavidez he says “We’ll see”.

Canelo has already said he’s not interested in fighting Bud. The weight difference is too much. If he beats him, people are going to say he beat a smaller fighter. I think Canelo sleeps Borlanga in September and we get the Benavidez fight next year.

You can tell Rozier isn't that great at critical thinking when he talks about going to light heavy and then coming back down. Of course there are risks but "light heavy" isn't the important factor here. The deviation from their natural weight is probably the most important. There are other things to look at too like how much weight they are cutting and the timeframe between all these cuts and weight changes. It is also important to note that canelo just went to light heavy and came back down himself. Maybe he is the exception but I don't think so. A lot of people will point at examples like roy jones... but he beat tarver in their first fight after he came down and he was getting older. His style relied almost entirely on his speed and reflexes and those are the first to go when you age.

Terrence Crawford does not need Canelo to be an all time great. It's like saying Sugar Ray Leonard is not an all time great cause he never fought Michael Spinks, it just doesn't make sense. Crawford can stay at 147 and cleanup the division, or even move to 154 and become undisputed there, making him the first three weight undisputed fighter ever.
