I get if you patch things so ppl can't cheat using save wizard going around one shotting everything but this change literally was implemented to keep ppl in a game that isn't a live service. We come play put it down, wait for dlc and continue. If players want to back up saves to save time let them. Not everyone has 20+ hours a week to grind out materials

Just a quick note on Level Sync; I have found it to be more effective to just do Random Encounters. You are always level synced as a guest, so YOUR drops are always of highest quality. And as a guest there is lower risk because you have at minimum one more person to gank bosses or enemies with and if you do die, you don't have to waste a candle or risk losing your amrita on a suicide run. Just an opinion but I felt it was worth mentioning

Not our loss if the 5 % wants to whine about the co-op side of the game existing. And to be honest, none of those co-op benefits are going to help people in higher difficulties if they don't know what to do with them in the first place. Level Sync kinda isn't worth it.

God, the rng is crazy. I just entered wise and started farming in voice of twilight (great early farming spot btw especially for clay bell which is essential to kill bosses) i actually got yata mirror with owatasumi grace and excellent star effect for that grace and decided to make a build based on that but every time i got ethereal gear or using stone of penance for accessory it always kagutsuchi and ame no uzume. It's like the game know what i need to make a build and decided to screw with me.

If you don't get the grace you want on an accessory, after you performed the resting rites if you don't press X to accept it you can reboot the game a press receive stone to take back your accessory without having to reload a save.

I know what you mean. I got so burned out I reached out to the PS Nioh community for a build. They referred me to the Nioh discord which a godsend like Cowboy said in this video. Anyway even after I still had to grind for hours, pretty much a full day and had to mess with all kind of stuff to get it perfect. I was burned out once I finished the build. I didn’t touch the game for a few days or a week maybe after. It takes a ton of work.

@@rashonburnett6473 i feel you man and them nerfing and buffing other stuff in patches certainly doesn't help either, i spent time making a poison build with otakemaru but both got nerfed, tengen was nerfed and so did the honda clan i was so pissed all that time wasted for nothing.. I don't understand why they do this in a PVE game it doesn't matter just let us be OP if we put in the time to make a build then we deserve to be OP. I won't go too crazy on making a build right now cuz they said they got important news to share on November 13th and i hope its a PC announcement cuz I can't wait to cheese my way through the crappy RNG Max Drop rate and Max Drop rate quality here i come!

There’s save scumming for Accessories as well! Before performing resting rites, save your game. If the accessory doesn’t come with the grace you want, quit and take your stone back. Reroll your stats via sudama and then do stone pentance again.

Why would team ninja patch save scumming? It is already a grind shitshow to piece a build together with all the forging and inheritable, now they make it even harder and more time consuming and tedious as it ever was, I cannot think of a single nioh player that would be pleased by that change.

Yeah been playing way of the wise for about a month now. I am level 450 and still cant beat the bosses in the first region. I dont know how that works, if im 100 levels stronger than a boss and still shooting wet paper wads at him.

Just a heads up cowboy, stone of penance does NOT stack with Sudama Skull, both give the exact same effect if Sudama Skull is full familiarity and stone is max penitence. So just use one or the other.

I'm not sure how I feel even now about the fact that each new level of difficulty basically restarts the gear/build grind all over again, 'cause your perfect Strong build gets junked as soon as Demon starts, ditto Demon for Wise, and very likely Wise for Nioh...but at the same time, it also basically means that every new difficulty level is an opportunity to play the game fresh again, and if I didn't like to play the game, I wouldn't be screwing around with NG+, let alone NG+3. And while getting rid of save scumming may make things harder in some ways, at the same time, I don't consider downloading and uploading data for hours (or for that matter banging on the crafting buttons) to be the slightest bit enjoyable.

Makes me think that's why there's so many people against PVP. Because "perfect" builds against the enemies, all of a sudden become very "niche", when you have a wide variety of things to specialize in. If you don't balance, you ego can get humbled very quickly.

You can still reload, as it always, on PS4 though you must also save away two different files, the system date AND your character. And then reload your system. If you do not save your system data the materials is gone. So materials etc is on the system data and items on Character data. So save and reload both and your good to go I just did this latest today.

This is the post-game, not all that surprising. It was meant for those who sought to explore deeper into complex RPG looter systems, a lot of people aren't going to jump into it. To be fair, I feel much of it suffers from making players jump through more hoops than necessary to get the builds they want/need. Many looters have failed to nail the concept of a good & rewarding endgame, which is why sometimes I wish people would be more willing to actually discuss it constructively rather than cover their ears and yell "filthy casual" or "elitist scum" from the rooftops like in the many communities I've been part of.

I’m pretty sure you don’t need DLC to get to wotw, you just need to beat new game++. So dream of the samurai is the first play through, then it’s dream of the strong, dream of the demon then way of the wise.. then after that it’s dream of Nioh. Just got to way of the wise

Lucky drops accessories, got 2 yasakanis and one of them ethereal from Act 4 refined man of the Underworld, it was using penance though. Regading the penance, this you cant save scum. It becomes set in stone as you explained, need to relase and and redo. Using Lucky Asseccories with my corruption set mate me recieve a total of 5 accories with both melee dmg vs zero ki AND star effect on vs corrupted enemy. Wanted to play Odachi and used Lucky weapon and slotted in a green corrupted Odachi. It didnt take long. The downside of using this is you miss out on other potential etherals if your farming for other items you need to not use Lucky drops. There is also an Orange effect on Scrolls that give Etheral drop A. This increases the Ethereal drop dramatically. I tried it and its a rather massive difference.

I'm kinda done with this game. i'll wait until the last DLC is released, finish the story and that's it. The grind is not worth it! I started the campaing on DOTW just to gain enough levels so i can finish the DLC on DOTD and i was terribly burnt out at the end. Not counting the horrible frame drops on the final boss! It makes that fight more tedious than it is. I don't have the time anymore for this kind of grinds. I usually follow some of your strategies and guides, but i don't want to waste that amount of time trying to make a perfect build that would become a little "useless" once the new DLC drops. Very true, doing 1 level on wise gives you just enough for 1 level, not to mention even a gaki two shots underl-levelled character. Grinding levels to grind for gear which is trash 99.9% of the time is just not fun. Idk how people have so much time to endure this level of grind.

There are a couple of corpses (quickest that's been found is in sun sets on mt tenno, near first shrine) as well as a couple of missions that gave guaranteed ranged weapon drops. I suggest either corpse farming or burning through those missions to get them.

Level 302 and just started way of the wise, Let me tell you this you can be 70+ levels below but if you have a descent build with the fist and you can manage that 10 stacks buff from passively chaining fist skills then you’re solid

Ninja gear as I saw some new graces that help; but I cannot get any where on wise with my current setup. So should I just finish up wotd until I'm at a appropriate level or should I party up.with high levels and have them pretty much carry me. Hey FCB or anyone in general. I have two options at my disposal here as i have gotten pretty lucky. I can either use gloves with the star effects life drain active skill and grapple damage or life drain active skill and final blow damage. Both give 20% damage boost i just dont know which to pick. Which do i choose?

I got one of them where it slashes around you in a AoE as you sheath your single blade so I'm just curious about her other single sword moves.

For “energy” I meant “stamina”, sorry for the bad translation. Ultimate stamina grants AA in both agility and toughness. Ultimate heart instead grants you extra Ki when switching guards during a Ki pulse

I am trying to do grace inheritance second dlc, 3rd region dotw. Can't get it to work?also trying to turn divine to etherna? Not working, do I have to beat the game on dotw for this to work?

I’m new to the NG+ and I find one thing confusing, do I need to complete every single mission in strong, wise etc to get the stuff? Or just the “main” missions

As you complete missions it fills a bar that you can look at from the region change screen. Main missions fill the bar slightly faster than side missions, once you gain access to the final mission "in the eye of the beholder" you can complete that to unlock the next difficulty. Currently it stops at dream of the wise, dream of the nioh should come with the next dlc

For farming, doing side missions that have items you're looking for is worth it, also you'll have to do SOME side missions in order to unlock later regions so no reason not to do some that you know
