Chinese private detective Zhang Yufen tracks down wealthy men who cheat on their wives.
In China, Zhang Yufen is known as the "concubine killer." 20 years ago, Zhang found out that her husband was having an affair -- and divorced him. That's not always easy in a society that often looks down on divorced women. Zhang started helping other women gather evidence to support their divorce cases -- and in the process, became China's first female private detective. These affairs usually don't take place in private, between friends or neighbors. They often involve modern concubines, known as "second wives" -- who are supported financially by wealthy men. "Second wives" are a status symbol for many rich and powerful men. But if these men don't appear to earn a lot of money, they're often suspected of corruption. Zhang isn't afraid to bring cheating husbands to account. Her work has even landed her in jail. But she keeps at it, trying to win justice for women who've been betrayed by their husbands.

i totally agree but there is a problem: there is a big pressure on chinese people to get married. for example women who aren’t married at 30 years old are seen as left over women. on top, males also get a lot of pressure from family members. chinese people work a lot and casual dating in their teens is mostly deemed bad. so how can you meet someone you know you want to spend the rest of your life with if you can’t get experience when young (like 18), have to work all the time and have to get married at like 30? it’s no wonder those marriages have huge issues

I love this lady. I was told by a private investigator that if you feel like somebody is cheating on you 99.99% of the time, you're right. Then he told me it would be a waste of my money to hire him. So what does that tell you? Some people think they can have their cake and eat it too but it always winds up backfiring on you. if you're no longer in love with somebody or care about them or if you hurt them or not just divorce them or break up with him don't put them through this stupid stuff. Polygamy is unfortunately entrenched in Chinese culture and history for thousands of years (emperors in the old times had thousands of concubines stashed away in "back palaces") and polygamy was practiced openly still until the Communists Party took over China in 1949. Only then was polygamy eradicated and monogamy was upheld in the Marriage Law of China but unfortunately that was only directed towards everyday people. Officials high up in the ranks within Communist Party especially Chairman Mao still had women outside his marriage up till his death. Ordinary people weren't able to because verybody had the same salary, same job, same everything before the planned economy. Now under the market economy and the open door policy, ordinary people can get rich, powerful just like those high officials so everything goes now. No moral standards, no respect, no nothing anymore. It's whoever has the money who has the power talks.

The divorce system in China seems to be more just in that a spouse gets nothing if he/she wants to leave without just cause. Adultery and physical assault are the only reasons to divorce. In the USA, women initiate divorce about 70% of the time for frivolous reasons and are incentivized to break up families because the are not haaaaaaaaaaapy. The system in China seems to be the opposite of no-fault divorce which the latter has been established in the USA with devastating results; mostly for men and children.
