its 2 phases, first its exploring the building where every room is randomly generated and filled with items and events, some good some bad. 2nd phase, after enough haunted items are drawn, one player is turned into a villain and tries to kill the other living players. Who gets turned and what kind of villain they become is determined based on the items that have been drawn and what rooms have been discovered. Theres a big spreadsheet to figure it out. Its all extremely random and to me personally isnt super engaging but it is fun for roleplay.

it might just be recency bias but I'd watch this session as a movie. this group of five learns that one is a Traitor without realizing so people just start killing each other and forming alliances, Mama hunts down beck into the basement followed by Ruth seeing this and trying to kill Mama only to die himself, meanwhile Bruce chases Carolyn outside and when Mama shows up she aims her gun at Carolyn only to switch and shoot Bruce instead, who is finally confirmed the killer. Carolyn and Mama walk away as the screen fades to black. Bonus after-credits scene: A man hears a knock on his door and opens it to find Mama, armed, and Carolyn, haunted, "Hello, Bob." *bang* back to credits.

The character work continues to be incredible!! Everyone does such a great job of bringing them to life (and death!). And of course the costuming is also amazing. Everyone looks so good!
