Having watched all the fighting fantasy streams so far from the years previous, this was great! Chilluminati + Lewis, what a great combo. Definitely different from previous years but no different in how great it was. Hope we get to see something like this again!!

My first experience of playing Fighting Fantasy was as follows: 1. Big setup about the Grand Wizard Yaztromo telling me how only I can defeat the terrible Necromancer Yazaak who has been awoken from his lair, and will bring plague and famine across the whole world if he is not stopped. 2. I slept a night near a river. 3. I followed the river north into a marsh. 4. I continued into the marsh. 5. I got ambushed by gigantic insects that shot poisonous needles at me 6. I rolled a 6, which meant I got hit by the maximum amount of darts 7. I was paralysed, and had the giant flies lay eggs inside of me, and died agonisingly being eaten by giant maggots under my skin in a dank smelly swamp, a couple of minutes into playing the game. Overall 10/10 best adventuring experience, would recommend. (But nah it can be pretty good)

The circle jerk in the comments here is real. People who didn't even watch this year, or previous years probably, complaining about the art and other members of the cast. As if they have some great proprietary themselves for on the fly drawings and animation. The reality is that we have had less, and worse, art in previous years. If there was anything wrong this year it was Simon being sick and the lackluster book.

Yeah I agree, none of this is bad and if anything an experimental way to see if they can make it more fun. Like if you look back on previous years the other two really had to speed draw to make the art both good/quick to ensure it doesn't get left behind as Lewis and Simon steam on through the book. It's helpful to have an extra few hands on side to add to the visual side and honestly I think the semi crapness of the drawings make them more fun and amusing to look at.

After seeing all the comments about how the art was a disappointment from previous years I can't help but disagree. Sure it didn't have the high quality style from previous years but I think Barry did an amazing job making it more dynamic by having a physical map the character was traversing and animations for talking, moving and other actions. I actually think it was a great setup having Tom churning out enemies that were used in adhoc ways and Sjin drawing some backgrounds which Barry appropriated; although it was slow at first once every got warmed up it was hilarious. I find the negative comments here funny as it reminds me of last year when Turps took over from Ciaran how people were saying that Turp was "better" then Ciaran because he wasn't such a perfectionist redrawing everything 10 times and actually kept up with the pace of the book with his quick drawings. At the end of the day, the guys streaming know that they're damned if they do and damned if they don't so they just have fun for themselves. After the initial stream Lewis has taken more and more liberties with the story telling and gameplay elements because otherwise it would be boring for them literally going through a torturous, poorly written kids book with an artist just drawing literally pyramids, mummies and other on theme things.

I watch this series for 4 years now. And every year I really look forward to this. The chemistry between simon and lewis is great. But the stream is for 50% created by the illustrator. Teutron was my favorite. Super nice guy and craZy skilled. Also ciaran is a great illustrator but these current guys are very likable but not skilled as an illustrator. I was kinda disappointed to be honest. It took away a big chunk of fun watching this stream. Now we have to wait a whole year for a new ff stream. Pls guys make sure you include a proper illustrator next year!

Yes I LOVE Sjin, Tom and Harry/Barry - but PLEASE go back to the usual format this year. They are all great, but Simon/Lewis leading with a single artist just flows a lot better. The Chilli spice is great, but I feel it detracted from what I love about the FF streams. Really hoping to see Ceiran or Teutron (although I think he left) again this year - or maybe even another artist, maybe Nina? Also doesn't Duncan have an art based degree? He would be great too! :D
