FYI: in case no one else mentioned it, you can feed a dinosaur to achieve the 'level up' quest. That is to say, your level up an amphibian to level 31 quest, if you have a level 31 or higher that can eat, leveling it up will count toward that quest. Happy New Year! -Shawn

Well did some research and I can definitely say Dreadnoughtus and Argentinosaurus are distinct dinosaurs. Argentinosaurus was an earlier relative of Dreadnoughtus (A. huinculensis lived around 94-97 mya while D. schrani lived around 84-66 mya). Plus Dreadnoughtus has distinct differences in the shape of vertebrae along with the shoulder. The two had a couple million years between them but I could understand why you would think they were the same.

Hey Bev! Love your videos! I'm actually studying paleontology at college and I think there's a serious lack of dinosaur centric gaming content on KZbin haha. I just wanted to address your Dreadnoughtus and Argentinosaurus hypothesis. So to start off yes, Dreadnoughtus and Argentinosaurus are both extremely large titanosaurs from Late Cretaceous Argentina. The thing is, Argentinosaurus lived about 95 million years ago (ma) and Dreadnoughtus lived about 75 ma. Now, the normal "lifespan" of a species (that being the time from origination to extinction) is about 1-2 million years. The difference in time between Argentinosaurus and Dreadnoughtus is somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 million years. Is it possible that Dreadnoughtus and Argentinosaurus could be the same species or genus? Absolutely it's possible. That being said, it's extremely unlikely that a single species would have lasted that long without either going extinct or originating new distinct species. If you'd like, I could run the question by one of my professors, Jeff Wilson, who's one of the world's foremost experts on titanosaurs and report back! Fun fact: My professor Dr. Wilson helped discover or describe several dinosaurs in Jurassic World: the Game including RAGE (Rajasaurus) and Shunosaurus!

Ice Bear This is very true, but that being said (to play devil's advocate here), simple differences in some morphology do not necessarily prove that two individuals are or are not related. We do know that many dinosaurs have some really bizarre growth stages that can look very different from one to the other. This can be seen in Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops and Pachycephalosaurus (wow just realized those are all Hell Creek dinosaurs...)
@TheDDG9959 жыл бұрын
That it was! One of the smaller herbivores there. Just about a step above Thescelosaurus.
@TheDDG9959 жыл бұрын
Haha no worries man! Lived right next to Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Edmontosaurus, Archaeoraptor, Ankylosaurus and Dakotaraptor. I spent a month on a dig in the Hell Creek so I have a pretty good idea of things that lived there haha.

Beaver, 1: it's Dreadnoughtus, not "Dreadnoughtusaurus" 2: It was NOT bigger than Argentinosaurus. Argentinosaurus is estimated at around 30-35m, while Dreadnoughtus rests at about 26m. It also lived 20 million years after Argentinosaurus. 3. They found 45% of Dreadnoughtus, including almost the entire body. More than enough to class it as a different genus of dinosaur. 4. The fossil that "disappeared" was not of Argentinosaurus. Here is it's femur: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1e/Museo_de_La_Plata_-_Argentinosaurus_%28f%C3%A9mur%29.jpg I have a feeling you just typed in "biggest dinosaur fossil" or something like that into google, and what you heard is the story of the dinosaur Amphicoelias. I understand that you didn't know this but seriously, your "research" was very poor if you didn't look this up better.

Dear Mr. Beaver, Dippy the diplodocus is actually in the Carnegie Museum in Pennsyvannia, that is the original skeleton was displayed. They made casts and sent them to museums around the globe since it was the largest skeleton ever seen. So please, if you don't know what your talking about, don't talk about it.
@cyndersaurvitticeps68049 жыл бұрын
Hey beaver, the dinosaur that you were talking about being bigger than Argentinosaurus is actually called Amphicoelias, which is regarded by palaeontologists as being non existent. Dreadnoughtus is smaller than argentinosaurus, however it is the largest dinosaur with a confirmed length. Argentinosaurus is a holotype, meaning it isn't know from a complete or mostly complete skeleton. It is known from a few vertebrae. Amphicoelias is said by the discoverer to have reached approximately 65m long, however its vertebrae (which is all the was 'discovered') have 'gone missing'. dreadnoughtus is said to have only reached about 25m long and weigh 60/65 tons.

In jurassic park (the 1997) one, the part where the first raptor opens the door and starts to go into the kitchen where the kids are hiding, if you look closely enough you can see an editing mistake that slipped past where a hand touches the raptors tail as if it was trying to keep the raptor from falling over and standing stable

quick little fact for thpose of you interested, thier technically is a carnoraptor, its called noasaurus. it was a smaller abeilasaur, wiht a sickle claw on each foot, and was very similar to a raptor in form. and if your wondering how thats not actaully a raptor, too much is different in its skeleton. and if your still wondering how an abeilasaur can look like a raptor, may i bring to your attention a subject known as convergent evoultion.. its why the golden toad of madagascar, is so similar to the dart frogs of south america, despite the fact theyre completely unrelated

hey beaver, here's a little tip for you on the battles.if you have beyond 4 moves left the computer will automatically factor in 4 blocks, so when you have like 5 points and the computer switches out and they only have 4, it's guaranteed they won't attack; or when they have 8 they will use what it takes to kill you and then factor in 4 blocks. just some words of wisdom, or rather a really long sentence of wisdom.

Beaver, have you even noticed that the DNA cost of hybrids actually cost less than the dinos used to make them? For example, Stegoceratops costs 12k dna to max out the dinos needed for it but it only costs 8k, while Indominus costs 29.4 k but the cost to max it out is 31.5k. Also, when will you max out Indominus? You have enough DNA to get 4 more indominuses which can max Indominus out.
