Unfortunately, the average person treats things like 'academia' and 'stidies' as essentially wizardry and sorcery: ie not something to be understood, rather something to react to. Its inane.

Well, we need to be able to understand the struggle of these oppressed minority groups..... /s Eta: this is sarcasm, for those who didn't catch the /s

you don't understand science. the sample should always be diverse and therefore representative of the real world outside of the study before being passed off as something that represents anyone

@youre764 my comment was sarcasm. Hence the /s which indicates sarcasm. I am well aware of the need for diversity in research and an appropriate sample size. I have done research myself

@@maranathaschraag5757 maybe you could use like a double /s because it reads as sarcasm that means we don't actually need diversity in samples

@youre764 fair Lol. Diversity is important, for those who misunderstood my comment.

I have filled surveys for national statistics for my own research. They are basically rethorical questions. Twice I had even someone coming over from CBS, Centraal Bureau Bureau voor de Statestiek Once about immigration and another about work. In the first one, nothing was about the Western cause of immigration There were only questions like in the voting tests, open border, close the border, or Sending aid or to stop sending aid. There is nothing about whether we should stop bombing, looting, and starving with sanctions Infuriating The one about work was in the middle of the unemployment industry, the government made it profitable for companies to fire people and then hire them via the municipalities that pay the worker's social benefits. Yet when I answered the questions, it looked like I just didn't want to work. In the end, I told my personal story to the lady of the CBS and asked, "Could I've answered the questions in away it would reflect my story or anything about the unemployment industry?" She couldn't even look at me when she said, "No.

Which is so lovely, and people can absolutely share and believe in their individual experiences. Just pointing out, that isn't what the study said.
