If you email the company, they may be willing to answer your questions. The specific question to a single survey may be too niche to include in a faq. This may not be a case of misinformation, but rather one of simply not enough public facing info.

I don't think (for the purposes of grocery stores) positive opinion is the same as popularity. I think popularity is more like footfall in this context, because many people can have a positive opinion of a place but not be able shop there. Or they could have a terrible opinion of a shop but have no other options. I'm in the UK so can't comment on 711.
