Fighting Primordial With Spinning Axe In Monster Hunter Sunbreak

I've been trying to get into charge blade and man, it's rough. Every time I fight a monster it stays pretty far away, rarely stands on top of me so I can hit them with the axe spin. I'm constantly getting knocked down, losing the axe. I mained the hammer for my first 50 hours, and it was so strong, and so simple.

Not familiar with cb on sb. How do you cancel the endlag without rolling after every attack 2?

Can you try a poison build in Sunbreak? Any monster but I believe Daimyo and base non Risen Shagaru are the weakest to poison in Sunbreak. Any weapon but I believe Switch Axe, Long Sword and Chainsaw CB are the best at applying poison. World's weakest poison monster is Safi and I don't hate you enough to make you do that.
