To give a mild explanation as to endgame Radahn: This version of Radahn is closer to his prime but still not quite the same as the original. Consort Radahn is Radahn's soul in Mohg's body, hence why he is much smaller, has some blood magic and has horns growing near his gauntlets. It should also be remembered that this version of Radahn is controlled by Miquella

He was actually that height when he was younger, and was actually defeated by Morgott in the intro of the game. We know this based off of his boss weapons. In a lore accurate fight, this version of Radahn without Miquella by his side is likely far weaker than Starscourge Radahn, but with Miquella, who is literally a god, this version of Radahn becomes more powerful than ever.

For anyone curious Radahn was fought by Malenia in order to relay a message to him, and in order to either kill him or get him on the path to death for when Miquella was ready. During this time, Miquella gets himself taken by Mohg and dies to open the path to the land of shadow, and collects his followers. The goal, as Ansbach relays to us, is to use the body of Mohg (who Miquella purposely set things up so we kill him), in order to bring the soul of Radahn into. Miquella has always been said to be the most terrifying empyrean, and we see why here. Much like his followers, Radahn doesn't have a choice. Miquella saw he was strong and unilaterally decided he'd be his consort. We see this during the transition to phase 2, Radahn doesn't want to be alive again, Jerren made it clear in the base game that he'd love an honorable death, and we see in the cutscene that he starts to break free as seen by the red aura. Miquella then reapplies his own mindcontrol and forces him to keep fighting. Much like Ranni, Miquella wants to change from the golden order under the greater will to a new order all together, except under Miquella, rather than a world without the influence of the gods like Ranni, its basically the Infinite Tsukuyomi. For as long as he's in power, all of existence would be mind controlled like his followers, and his order would be defended by his mind controlled consort, Radahn.

about the grab of phase 2: it doesnt actually do anything.. the first time. If the boss manages to grab you a second time, however, thats instant "death" regardless of health. the marker above your head is essentially just a reminder that you were already grabbed once. Why "death" in quotes? because the boss doesnt kill you... instead, Miquella mind-controls you, and your character kneels in front of the boss, and instead of the usual death message, you get "heart stolen" before being thrown back to the grace

Since Seereax miraculously never got affected by the grab attack twice, I'll shed some "light" on it. It involves Miquella's power to "Shrive clean the hearts of men" as Ansbach stated. Getting grabbed once is like a mark of death but a mark of charm instead. Meaning if you get grabbed with the icon above your head (the 2nd grab) a unique death screen appears that reads "HEART STOLEN" colored in Miquella's signature unalloyed gold as opposed to the normal blood-stained "YOU DIED." By killing the Scadutree Avatar and acquiring Miquella's great rune, you can dispel the charm as many times as you can after you're grabbed. You can bind the great rune to your Flask bar and there is enough time after the grab for you to use the great rune safely.

Precisely, they generously gave the player an out to the charm. As a TLDR, you have a free action after the grab whether it's popping a flask if your health is low, or popping the rune to break his charm. It's just a matter of actually knowing that you have a way to break it, which a lot of folks didn't.

@diogoextreme2 Same. I saw a clip of the first phase on a tiktok. I thought it was fake since it was low quality, and his moveset seemed too janky. Plus, he had attacks from other bosses (Godfrey stumps and Mogh's blood explosion) that didn't look right. I just assumed it was a mod. Then I got to him, shocked that it was real. The second phase wasn't spoiled for me, at least, thankfully.

Oh it's fucking time boys Light lore explanation for why Radahn - Miquella wanted to be a God like his mom. To do that he needed a strong consort but Radahn refused. So Miquella had Malenia fight Radahn, while he also mind controlled mohg to kidnap him. He uses mohgs magic to enter the shadow realm, and then hopes someone kills both mohg and Radahn. When you do it, Radahns soul gets stolen and mohgs body as well. This leads to Miquella changing mohgs body to fit Radahns soul, which he could more easily control if he's dead

Thats how I see it at least, because how else can you explain the hassle of taking mogh's body and reviving Radahn instead. Unless there is something that you know and I dont that might explain hassle of taking mogh's body and then doing seemingly nothing with it.

Two lore things i think you'd like to know. Miquella says "If we uphold our part of the vow, promise me you'll be my consort." I'm pretty sure by "our", he means he and his sister, Malenia. What he meant by their part of the vow, was probably to give Radahn honorable death in battle. Freyja makes it sound like he only cares about war, but on the armor set of the man who hosted the Radahn festivel, it's stated that that man and Radahn made a pledge of delivering the other honorable death. This is further supported by the DLC Radahn's armor set description, which states Malenia whispered to Radahn right before she bloomed, "Miquella awaits thee, o promised consort." The second thing isn't as relevant, but the version of Radahn you fought here is the new prime Radahn. It's stated on a sword monument that Radahn and Malenia fought to a draw BEFORE Malenia bloomed, which would imply that that version of Radahn is relative to Malenia. Malenia in her goddess of rot form is naturally stronger than she was when fighting Radahn, and Consort Radahn with Miquella is stronger than goddess Malenia.

Now that the series is over I want to express how much fun it is to watch deion play this game because to me we play the same way no summons no optimal builds just using whatever feels the coolest and not really getting overly mad at the game but wanting to fight more after beating the boss. It's also fun to watch him struggle with bosses I didn't or get annoyed when he easily beats stuff I struggled with. Now that I think about it I got this game because I saw his videos on elden ring so this series is very special to me and I'm glad I saw it

Just in case you haven’t already watched a video on it the ending memory is the explanation for why Melania fought Radahn. Miquella wants to be a god and needs his own consort like Godfrey (basically his version of an Elden lord except no “Elden” because he’s making his new order without the Erdtree) Melania can’t be his consort because she’s also an Empyrian, so he sees Radahn as the strongest and wants him to be his consort. It seems like Radahn made him a promise that if Melania beats him in battle that he would be his consort for his new age. That’s why she matches her forces on Radahn and challenges him to a battle. My theory on why radahn doesn’t talk is because even though Melania practically killed him the Tarnished actually is the one who finished him off so he doesn’t truly honor the promise. That’s just wild speculation though.

In terms of lore it's there to catch the dew that falls from the Scadutree and becomes fragments. Unfortunately, like a lot of cool places in ELDEN RING, it's just for show.
