No fancy tricks just a frustrating mastery of the basics and mixing things up. Really cool to see. Man is basically Obi Wan weaponizing defensive style. I'd try him again as a kind of mini boss in like 5 duels as a progress check.

His stab accell is nutty and those overhand drags are something that can't be countered reliability

It's so difficult to counter this weapons attacks because you don't reliably know when it's going to hit. He can slow it down or speed it up at the last second

so heres a few fun facts about highland sword, its counter windows are just as long as greatsword it does the most damage out of all the swords, so that means it does a lot of stam dmg, thats why u kept getting disarmed so quick

It's impossible to counter everything too, the overhead accels and even the stabs are hard to counter, they hut much faster than a slow weapon should hit

Im around lvl 130 in highland sword and it's an absolute struggle. In pub matches against newbs it's easy. But anyone with a brain will just either kick or jab you 😅 especially if it's a 1 vs x

It's a hard weapon to get the hang of, but once you do it's really good. I like the executioner axe over this for TO though

I feel like the HS is almost impossible to force a riposte on or sneak an attack through. Every attack gets caught in the counter unless they miss time it by alot

@@RetentionLedGrowth yes slower weapons have bigger counter windows. Best in the game are the exe axe, Highland, and greatsword

LS is a terrible weapon against HLS. you don't have the counter window nor the reach so you can't effectively manage your stam or gamble. You try to eat three HL hit you stam bar is gone. HL had to be countered with messer, GS, or any of the axes.

This is where I loose interest in chivalry…it’s lost its realism…. Way too many feints… it’s just not how you would fight with BIG weapons and ARMOUR….it’s almost Disney

The Highland sword is like a 70 Ib sword and yet it can be lifted and swung with no effort. Definitely takes me out of it sometimes
