I think the dread knight would be better if he acted like the enemy bosses do. Where he’s a unit and hearts are damage gates. Then give some scaling on amount of allies that die

I mean his ability is exactly the same as the spooky skull, just you can use on any minion.

I think the best way to improve him without outright changing his ability would be to just make it a may instead of have to.

The Dreadknight would be better if there were more cards with On Death triggers at all levels for him to take advantage of. You never found good sacrifice fodder. In card games that's usually something like, "When this card dies draw a card." Instead of dealing damage to an enemy, it might be better if he gained temporary or permanent battlefield slots equal to the sacrificed card's level and quality. That'd let him have the flavor of a knight leading a horde of undead instead of a knight striking down enemies.

they either need to buff the dread knight or add more minions with stronger on death effects, kinda hard to play a character that wants you to pop strong on death effects early when there is hardly any good ones to choose from

This is where I'd like to see fixing him go. Make more units that have effects on death, or on ally deaths, so he can be built around.

I LOVE watching this game! The art and the combos getting out of hand so fast to make op synergies is just SO satisfying!!!! I really hope this game has much more added to it!!!!

i think garden would work with hero skill better, it would die, respawn, and maybe respawn again

Taking their attack and dealing double the damage or have it be an Aoe to all or adjacent enemy minions could also be a very strong skill even if they ulter it and only do half the atk's dmg.

It’d be a good power if you could reliably build around fewer, stronger units, but the game really gives you no reason to not cram every body you can onto the field.

the reroll doesnt roll locked pieces[even if the shop is full and locked, you still lose resource for rerolling] and you can sell directly from shop

Not saying it’s a balanced character because it definitely needs some fixing. But if you just go hard reaper build I think it’d be fine. It’s just disappointing that it locks you into one specific build

Dread Knight is as bad as speculated, but Red Ruler really seems to go well with your tendencies to boost minion health. Looking forward to tomorrow!

There was definitely far too much friction with this character. Could also be nice if the action was optional and/or you were given some style of bonus for not activating it.

He is literally 1 unit down all the time so the game's balance is always off for the character. Just change it to anything else. "Kill an ally, all other allies get +2/+2 per tie/level of the ally killed" for example.

Could even be something like "The unit in your first slot does magic damage equal to its attack _when it dies_" Keeps the _exact_ flavor but isn't run at a deficit. Personally I hope for a full rework instead because it just isn't that interesting of a payoff.
