@brandonmiles8174 Жыл бұрын
One day a week at my gym, the boxers have to do 500 situps in unison. It really helps to push people to places they didn't think they could go. Also, stretching is very important, especially for people just starting or if you're taking time off between training sessions. If you don't stretch your calves very well and you don't have shins that are used to heavy work, you will be much more prone to shin splints. I know that from experience, as I was sidelines for two months because of my shins. Coach didn't want me to develop a stress fracture in my shin (I had literally just recovered from one in my foot) and that's exactly what will happen if you just try to "push through" shin splints and neglect the proper recovery period. If you are someone who struggles with shin splints, learn the Chinese technique breaking up the scar tissue either called Gua Sha or Gua Shan, that is the only way I'm still training today without massive damage to my shins and it's very easy to do.

On stretching in muay thai I would say it's less needed in muay thai largely because knock outs and pain plays a huge role in deciding the winner in the sport. Where literally one of the go to strats is to just kick your opponents leg until they can't walk on it anymore. For this reason it creates a meta where the round house is the king go to kick. Be it a low round house to the calves/thighs or a high knock out round house to the head. Because the round house needs probably the least amount of flexibility in comparison to all the other kicks that you see in TKD or Karate or old school muay thai, you can get away with not knowing any other kick besides a good solid round house in muay thai. So for this reason flexibility is not as much a game breaking concern as it is in other popular martial art sports like TKD/Karate/Wushu All though if you want to transition into MMA, flexibility will be a huge advantage for when you grapple, so you will see MMA and BJJ guys put a lot more focus in flexibility than muay thai guys. TLDR If all you care about is Muay Thai, the basic core stretches is all you need, if you want to transition into MMA, you will need stretching

After afternoon training the owner of the camp brought us with watermelon bananas and stuffs like that sometimes banana filler. Pretty light diet enough protein to keep big legs I guess. Train less the day before and more often during the week instead. for example i have been working out 2-3 times per week, always full body workout with only one exercise per muscle group. 1 day 3 sets of benchpress, squats, pullups and dips; day 2 you do 3 sets of benchpress deadlift pullups and overhead press. You can add arm and core exercises. That way you wont be lacking energy in the muay thai training. But youll see, that you will still make progress in the gym. if you feel like you can do more, add a set here and there, but only step by step.

@@Jonas-nc5os how so?

@@user-nk8zx1yw8s because there´s a big difference between running on asphalt and running on a track or in the woods. On asphalt, you put a lot of stress and pressure on your knees and for someone with weak knees or bad shoes it can definitely f them up. Running in the woods however, or even on a track, you remove a lot of that stress and pressure minimizing the possibility of injury. Running in the woods will also challenge the muscles around your ankles in a positive manner, making them stronger without as much risk of injuring the knees.

Don't let other people decide over your life . If Muay Thai makes you happy, start practicing it again. It will be worth the hard work. U may have lost the girl but thats exactly where you wanna start working on yourself again. To make yourself happy even without others 🤝
