Another good video Lou. I'm excited as this year is coming to an end next year is getting closer! I have such big plans for my second year of growing figs. Hopefully I can get some to taste as well is find those varieties on my wish list.

I found your channel about two weeks ago and have enjoyed your postings very much. I’m near Annapolis and have been trying to grow two fig trees in the ground for about four years a Lattarula and Olympian. They pretty much die back every year and I can’t seem to get the fruit to mature. I’ve tried reducing the number of stems to four and I’ve even pinched the tops around August. I do not fertilize and really don’t water much either. Do you think the varieties I have are not conducive to area 7a/7b? I would be thankful for your recommendations.

Hello, what fig variety beside Mt. Etna would you recommend that ripen before late Oct? Thank you for your time.😊

@pjorge8363 Hi there! All of the mature Mount Etna's will ripen most of their fruit in plenty of time during the summer months, and so will many other varieties. My coldest zone is 7‐A. Thanks for watching! Lou Monti
