Congratulations on your first Black Madeira! I've been anticipating this video. lol... Between you and PA Figs putting out BM videos, I'm anxious for my first year tree to fruit next year. It's really taken off since up potting it into a self watering container upon your recommendation.

I’ve had my black Madeira for 5 years and it won’t ripen here in Seattle area. I’m going to put it in a grow tent next spring and cheat to give it a running start.

Hey Ben...I'm curious, but how do you keep all the pests like birds, squirrels, raccoons and the like from ravaging your crops?

Awesome channel brother...just subscribed! I live in northern Michigan: I can only bring the figs outside in the summer...do you have suggestions on which variety would be best for me to grow? They would have to be in pots and mostly indoors with summers outside. I could get plant light too if you think that's a good idea. Thanks!

There' alot of folks with your climate who still grow figs. I would suggext Violet De bordeaux and Ronde De Bordeaux. Black madeira if you can get you hands on it and the smith fig.

Wow man, this is so great, congrats! I know you have worked really hard for that fig and I have been waiting to see you hit that milestone. Please let us know if you do a run of Black Madeira fig pops, I would looove to get a cutting from a reliable source. Also really loved seeing your ultimate breba list. On a side note I have been marveling at some of the videos of the fig varieties at UC Davis.. Some of them are just flat out incredible looking. Thank you very much for making these videos, so awesome to get fruit growing tips for the pacific nw area.

Sprinkle a little Habaniaro or Chianne pepper Powder or Bag the ones you want. I had to do this to my (4) Fuyu PersimmonTree fruit to Detere the deer and Coyotes from stealing my fruit. Just Remember which fruit you Treat. I also use Rabbit and Deer Grannuals around the base's of the trees. Been a Big help. Now I have squirrals digging up my White Oaks and Onions Dang it.

No disrespect to you Ben or KK but man I think sometimes the BM is way over rated. Either way, love tour vids.
