+Love Life Drawing Pencil powder won't be easily erased with eraser. So I collect charcoal powder only.

Great video. Question. I've started using charcoal and learning. What do you do with loose dust on your drawing? I blow mine away. Then start coughing because of dust in air. Also what do you use as a fixative and or can I use one? Thank you so much. ☺

I don't blow but let them drip. And use workable fixative.

Zin Lim ..”let them drip”? Drip usually refers to liquid things. Do you ever use a soft brush to remove excess dust?

How do you reserve your charcoal drawing? Could you do a video showing how do that? Do you use fixative to spray? How many times are sufficient and how do you know?

I spray fixative by the spray bottle draw big circles in the air. Start spraying light and continue doing it until no charcoal is apart from drawing. You can find many of useful 'how to spray fixative' videos at You Tube.

Hi Zin, I really like your style and your videos have helped me a lot. However, I bought willow charcoal (artist's loft) and it just seems to scratch the paper and not be very good. The willow charcoal you have seems so easy to put down and to take off the paper. Have you ever had any problems with your charcoal? The only way I can get the general's brand of the jumbo willow charcoal is through amazon and I just want to be sure it will different if I order some.

I have a question. Why don't you trust what the pencil label says the grade of charcoal is within it? Is there a specific reason for dealing with the company, or just your own preference?

Each General HB pencil has different darkness and hardness.

Sometimes, idk how correct this is, I use a cheap metal sharpener that the left over stuff falls out of over the paper and use it as charcoal powder.
