I think it was very fitting to have Yuzuru in the middle of that hug. From the behind the scenes footage, interviews, and comments from fans I've seen, it seems like he's the kind of guy who is able to make easy friends with everybody. People are drawn to him, thus why everybody goes in for a group hug where he's standing.

The way olympic highlighted all the gold medalist, was really awesome. Hats off to all the gold medalist, and also to all the skaters. And also the way everyone did the group hug, when you have this type of friendly competitions then you love to compete. I hope in 2026 also this type of gala performance will be done. But also 2026 figure skating have a major gap of Yuzuru not there. Without Yuzuru, Olympic will be so much different

This is my favourite! The entire figure skating competition was wonderful and this was a great and joyful finale. Whoever decided on this music should be congratulated on making such an inspired choice. I love seeing all these amazingly talented skaters on the ice together.
