It is good you don’t use a harness. The harness gives you height, but many girls struggle getting height without it. That’s why you shouldn’t train with one, you rely on it and it becomes harder to do the axel.

Yes we make a outdoor rink in our yard every winter. Some days it gets to warms so I wont be able to skate on it for a couple days.

Very cool! I myself am a skater but i do artistic roller skating. I can also do an axel and i think i learned mines in the span of a month or three weeks to be exact. I see a good future olympian in you! Keep working hard!

It is a harness that we use to help us with our jumps, and most figure skating clubs have one at their rink.

Very good attempts; however, make sure that your take-offs are not too circular. Try to jump a bit outside of your circle on the take off. This will give you more flow on the landing. Good job keep up the amazing work.

Honestly, an axel is quite hard to learn (trust me I know) but your mind plays games on yourself and makes things so much scarier. After the phase of getting it, losing it , then getting it, it’s quite easy

I got mine when I was nine and it took me 3 months to get it. But within those 3 months I changed coaches boots and blades cause my boots were to heavy and in 2 weeks of changing boots and blades I got my 1 axel now I'm 12 and have my double axel😊

Nice! I am 11 years old and have landed my doubles accept for my double axel. One tip: keep your left shoulder in front. You are letting your right shoulder get ahead of you and this is adding to much uncontrollability. Otherwise great! And fix those arms! ;)
