In December 2019 Nick Kalisz and I traveled to the top of the world to skate below Nepal's highest peaks in preparation for the planning of 'Skate Nepal' an event and partnership with Nepal Tourism 2020 that took place on February 14, 2020. Sagar Prasain A friend of mine brought her skates to Everest Basecamp a few years ago... she is the other I know that has skated at these elevations. - Last week we achieved the highest figure skating show and hockey game in the world at Lake Gokyo though! That's good! I've been skating in the high alpine and on thin ice for the past decade, so I've learned to read the ice as second nature, but would not recommend beginners until they've been trained :)
