@@BetteDavis19 Hi!! I honestly use a canon camera i had lying around from my freshman year of college. I just checked it out and it's a "Canon vixia hf 7000". From what i understand it was made mostly to take long videos and have a good zoom. But i just use it because it's what i had when i started my channel. What i do is that i record myself talking to the camera and then in editing just remove the visual. The microphone is not amazing i've had people complain about the audio quality of my videos before. The audio quality usually goes down when i talk too closely to the camera or hold it like a microphone. So honestly any camera microphone works as long as you edit it well. hope this helps! 😁

Ashley hit her chin on the ice. I was confused at why she was so affected, at first, until I slowed down the replay and went bit by bit. The way she fell down, she fell RIGHT on her chin, and literally ricocheted off the ice. There's a reason uppercuts (hitting right under the chin) are so effective -- it's a knock-out button.

Someone else commented saying "no Russia no fun", but I can say with confidence that watching worlds this year was the most fun I've had watching figure skating in a while. The women's contest had me on my toes, and the reactions of surprise and joy from the medalists had me in tears too. Really amazing stuff. So many prayers for Ukraine-- I have sympathy for individual Russian athletes but I know that the ISU made the right choice banning them as the nation they skate for commits atrocities. Not to mention that a certain negative energy was missing from the competition. Tutberidze's abusive tactics aren't even an open secret; they're a truth she's proud of. I loved watching happy, healthy women compete for gold without destroying their backs for under rotated quads. Really a delight of a competition. Thanks for the video!! Great recap.

@@TheReneex 1st: you don’t know what happens at their trainings. It’s not as they communicate that much about it. An Olympic athlete’s training is not a Disneyland trip. 2nd: her skaters are the same age as any other competitor 😂 (Alysa Liu is 16 just saying), not their fault if they are actually better than everyone at 14. And 3 : her « unique » skating style includes flutzes 🥴 Russians win because they have ULTRA C ELEMENTS, because they do the most difficult things. They are 40 POINTS ahead of everyone, you don’t even know what you’re talking about. You want some overscoring example ? Wakaba Higuchi gets 74 points at her sp with a TRIPLE AXEL, and Kaori gets 80 points with a double axel and a flutz. So don’t bring Russians into this please, the one who gets criminally overscored here is Kaori. The « Russian hate » stigma is a bit easy.

Loena wants to go for her 3rd Olympics in Italy. She doesn't plan on retiring for now. Hopefully her health will allow her to continue. I still am in awe of her world, especially with her injury. I've been following her for years now and she deserves her medal. She made history for our country and I still can't comprehend why the French speaking press didn't talk about her. I was sad that Donovan Carillo had to withdraw because the effing airline lost his baggages. He had to buy skate in France but the training session did not go well. So he decided on precaution. Junhwan Chan withdrew because his boots broke. He did the SP with them taped but also went for caution so decided not to risk injuries. I think it was wise despite the fact that it meant less qualifications for Korea next year.

Finally new video from you!!!! 🥺 About Eteri, she ain’t moving from Russia,there aren’t such rumours at all. Most likely it is that team Tutberidze will move to a new ice rink (probably for the new season). Also about channel one cup which I saw everything: The red team won and the captain of the team this year was Anna Shcherbakova, while the captain of the blue team was Mark Kondratiuk. Zhenya was supporting the blues and Alina was with the reds. Both of them were taking interviews of the skaters and they were with them on the kiss and cry. (P.s and Yes Eteri was never seen in the kiss and cry with the girls only Daniil Gleikhengauz.) Kamila Valieva was fantastic, everyone applauded for her, she had a clean slate and she was so energetic and she herself was so happy (she was in the blue team) but in the end still Anna got higher score than her. It was fun and all the skaters performed well,it was enjoyable to watch. And a small mention: Zhenya and Kamila have become sooo close and also Alina with Anna and yes it was a happy moment to see how Zhenya and Alina are in good terms with each other now, it feels up my heart. I hope you got a bit of taste of what the channel one cup was like.

To answer your question, Paola, Jun withdrew from the FP because he was having issues with his skates (part of the reason he faltered in the SP). Honestly, this was the most I have enjoyed the Worlds in years. I actually liked watching the ladies event because the judging felt less corrupt (though I will say that the Korean girls were underscored, like always) and everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. It felt like more of a friendly competition and didn't have that toxic environment brought by Team Tutberidze. Papadakis and many coaches said that this event did feel much lighter without all that dark energy brought by the Russian teams (mostly in ladies and ice dance). It was nice to see a ladies podium where each medalist was from a different country and two mature, artistic ladies in their 20s. Also, shoutout to Shoma. I was so proud of him for winning after years of being the 2nd or 3rd best skater in the world. It was also great to see him winning in France, the same country where he hit rock bottom with his worst performance at GP France in 2019. Kazuki was also a pleasant surprise for me. It was my first time seeing him skate. I love what a joy he is to watch. He did well considering he was a last-minute replacement. He was apparently competing at a small competition in Luxembourg when he was called up to compete. I was happy for Riku and Ryuchi as well. I hope to see them continue to win medals next season (Ryuchi said he wants to go for another 2 Olympic cycles with Riku). Cheng/Jin will probably return as well and will arguably be the top pair next season. My heart goes out to all the Ukrainian teams that competed. They were all so brave and I loved how supportive the crowd was, cheering for them as though they were French skaters ❤

Regarding the skating better part its OBVIOUS. They see that this is a chance of a lifetime. The russians are not competing and they are the ones who have clearly dominated the field for years (i don't agree with some of the methods they have used to get there but it is a fact). So when they see that their biggest rivals, who usually take all the medals, are no longer able to compete, they know this is one (if not the only) chance they will get to win big, that under normal circumstances wouldnt exist (like Paola said in the video). This obviously pushes them to do better and to try their best and we have seen exceptional skates from the ladies. But I think this happens in every sport or any situation at that.

@@ashchbkv6965 I'm sure the recent doping allegations has soured how some athletes see the Eteri girls. No way a 15 year old is going out of her own way to dope. Being friends is one thing but losing a career changing competition to someone who you suspect could be doping can be demoralizing.

Worlds was literally so wholesome. I feel like worlds without the Russians was so much better in every way because there was literally no drama, and everyone on the podium had beautiful performances. Kaori's reactions were so heartwarming and with the absence of team tut I think it let a bunch of people who would've never even dreamed of making it onto the podium getting the recognition they 100% deserve. I'm so happy for them all. Also the channel 1 trophy was really sweet, I've always liked it so much more than other Russian competitions. I love how both teams were super supportive of one another regardless of if they did well or not. It feels a lot better than the olympics were all of the skaters were alone for most of it. And I feel like after the disaster in Beijing it's just what all of the skaters needed to heal.

But "drama" only happens at the Olympics. If you look at the last World Championship, then everyone had smiles there. Therefore, I think in general the opinion is not entirely correct. I understand that it’s easier without Russians, but this is a sport, not a physical education lesson aimed at improving health and the like. In sports, after all, it is important to be faster, higher, stronger. This is my purely personal opinion. (Sorry for spelling errors)

@@Sighery I understand your opinion completely. I enjoy watching the Russian skaters (for the most part), I really do. They are all very, very talented. I think what i’m trying to really say is that every year they always medal, and it was really cool to see people making it onto the podium that we usually would have never seen medal. And a lot of coaches and people involved in the Russian figure skating bubble are quite controversial, whether they are “good” or “bad” is up for debate, but I feel like without those controversial people there at world’s (not saying they are bad), it seemed a lot more peaceful i guess.

In Russia One cup red team won which was Alina's side. Anna Sherbakova was the captain and won in the jumping competition. Kamila was on the blue team. We could not see the entire competition but there were lots of videos on KZbin of the main contenders. I didn't watch world's as it seemed to be missing a huge chunk of talent when the biggest country in the world was missing. I understand that but felt badly for the athletes who definitely didn't start the war!

I feel bad for those girls, but I do feel that Eteri not being apart of figure skating from here on is going to be beneficial. I can’t bear to see these beautiful young faces get torn apart before 18 years old. Although they didn’t get banned for what they should have been banned for - doping - I do feel that them not being here os going to be beneficial for EVERYONE involved. Because, if the girls aren’t skating they at least can make it to 18 with a healed and safe back. And for everyone else, the figure skating world can live without constant favoritism and over scoring of one particular country. Skaters are flourishing now that they feel that they actually have a chance at winning the podium.

I enjoyed this World Championship, one of my favorite figure skating competitions to watch as the viewer. Every event was exciting and I was very happy for all of the winners. The men's event was obviously different without Nathan Chen and Yuzuru Hanyu. But I was very happy for Uno and Vincent. Yuma was great too, but I'm glad that Uno got his chance in the spotlight. The women's event was the highlight without Russia: no doping scandal or any of that nonsense. Just 3 happy medalists who were overjoyed and genuinely happy for each other too. Happy for the American pairs team winning gold, but I was very scared to see the injury to the other American team. I definitely hope she is alright. And the ice dance event was perfection. The French team looked better here than at the Olympics, with their Olympic gold already and less pressure on them at home. And the home crowd was obviously very welcoming and happy to see them in person. But it was a great event for Chock/Bates and Hubbell/Donohue as well. Also noteworthy, I loved the crowd's welcoming reaction to the Ukrainian skaters too. It was very touching to watch.

In all honesty, if Tutberidze really were planning to move... I kind of doubt that after all the media attention that her behaviour got during the Olympics, she would easily find a skating school that wants her. Over the years it has become blatantly obvious that she burns through kids, trains them with bad technique that leads to quick career ends and overall is just a questionable character. Which skating school would actually take her on? Europe, US, Canada, Korea, Japan - I'm not too sure that she would find a place anywhere. And conditions won't be the same as in Russia, could she even use her methods in those different environments? Perhaps she would find a place in China, but that's really the only location that seems plausible to me...
@myjunkdrawer8014
@myjunkdrawer8014 2 жыл бұрын
Likely it would have to be a place with strict standards like hers - China , South Korea , Italy etc. I could even see her maybe going to a country that doesn't have figure skating as a big focus like India or Portugal and using her wins to convince them to let her run wild. As for the US & Canada I don't think they'll let her come within ten feet of them.

No russians sure meant a fairer podium, and yet the scores of Team Korea were once again absolutely criminal. Let's just agree that ISU is a joke & should go in the same direction as the russian warship. The true heroes were the Ukraininan dance team. Straight out of the war zone, costumes left behind, with barely any time to prepare, skated to a song by the guy who has enlisted into territorial defense & later got wounded by shrapnel… And someone in the ISU had the audacity to protest their skate as “political”. Let's just agree… you get it. And Zhenya news are just pure chaos. The Ch.1 thing, then wearing UA colors on TG, then the pin-up photoshoot, then wearing UA colors on IG, then taking Kamila out to the club together with Alina, like what's even going on out there.

This Worlds felt right! Felt enticing and kept me watching because all the medals were up for grabs and maybe also the skaters felt more motivated by this. I am happy for the ladies podium, and I totally feel like Young You was so underscored. She deserved to be at least on 4th or at least to get a small medal. I loved that in the pairs Vanessa and Eric won a medal, because I strongly believe that taking everything from scratches and coming back from retirement at such an age, for me counts, as it takes a lot of strength to do it. I also did not felt right what you said about their partnerships when was announced, cause seriously Meghan’s and Eric they were retired since 3 years when that moment, so I am sure Meghan did not asked for Eric’s blessing for every decision she took. And also there were no shows since the pandemic started until this year, to keep playing the tape that her source of income has been taken away. I am one of those that was simply happy to see Vanessa on ice. For the dance, it felt so crazy amazing watching the last two groups of contenders. They all nailed it and had great vehicles all of them. Happy beyond measure for Gabi & Guillaume, and for the rest of the podium teams. I don’t think Olivia and Adrian will retire for the next 2 seasons. I definitely see them on the podium on the Europeans and potentially also in the next worlds, if their new vehicles will be as catchy as the ones these seasons. I also see Lilah and Lewis on the next European podium, as they have such an amazing energy together. On the men’s, I have high hopes for Ilya and I see him as the next future candidate for a medal after the Japanese team. Overall, although in some cases can we knew the potential contenders for the medals, it was really nice to watch a skating competition with public and see those hard working skaters, get the recognition from the public for the amount of efforts they are putting in every program!

Really glad that Alina and Zhenya have (Hopefully) realised that their dislike of each other came from the insane machinations of one woman and are now friends again, as they should be. IMO Eteri is done. No one is going to want to associate with a doper and someone who visibly abused children in public. If she stays in Russia they might keep her on but if she goes abroad... Hopefully it'll be as you said, and the sport will heal in Team Russia's absence. I'm of course sad that skaters like Aliona and Liza don't get to skate but there's a war going on and their country is behind it.

Clearly you don't know how things are done in Russia or how powerful Eteri is there. For one thing, Russian public figures aren't intimidated by virtue signaling mobs on social media. Not saying I like Russia's form of governing but I have to admire them on this point. Secondly, you're underestimating Russia's influence on the ISU. You can hope but Eteri ain't goin' nowhere.
