I've been tossing tier 2 crucifix, motion sensor and salt over the fence and then brought in 2 smudges and a light ofc. I place the salt in between the benches and the motion sensor. The motion sensor is for raiju and objectives which bring in more money, and the salt is specifically for wraith because wraith is so ez to tell with salt. I've had enough time 95% of the time to completely set up. The small 5% was either me just transferring items to place them (motion sensor and salt) or just getting in immediately. Then I just either use the smudge and accept the fact that I won't be using the salt or motion sensor or quickly try to place them. Super ez. Crucifix prevents hunts spawning on you, and it's pretty straight forward. There are pros to this method, one being that you don't need to worry about a setup time for the most part, but the cons are that wraiths aren't as easy to spot. The cons for the other is that sometimes you will rarely not be able to setup completely which isn't a huge deal, but the pros outweigh the cons. I definitely think it's a better method and would highly recommend it.

Yes but he is only showing obvious ones. Basically, Deo, Thaye, Oni, Phantom, Wraith, Rev, Raiju, Moroi, and some others are extremely easy to spot. That’s the only ghosts he showed. If it’s not one of them, u have to guess

Just hit prestige X and this has been literally the only thing we've been playing trying to get those cool black player ids. Me personally i do headcam(for raiju) and salt for wraith when i do solo. I also tend to bring enough items to do the extra objectives since they count towards the multiplier. That way I can make like 1000-1500 extra in a run. (Make sure you do this run a few times without extra equipment so you get used to it and don't lose more equipment than necessary)

you have enough time to place salt, a crucifix so that it doesn't hunt on top of you and a motion sensor. place the salt in the middle of the benches then place the motion sensor in the middle of that. Then you can simultaneously check for raiju with the motion sensor and wraith with the salt. I sometimes use a parabolic to check whether its a myling or not as you only start hearing footsteps at 12m, plus its good for hearing ghost speed if its on the other side of the camp when hunting. There is a girl that speedruns this way you should watch the video she did its really good. Nice video anyway I love this method of leveling up as its also a fun way to really hone in on the knowledge of those specific ghosts that can be figured out without evidence, just behaviours.

3:22 I think it could still be an Oni. As far as I know, there is a difference between the "Hiss Ghost Event" (which an Oni can do) and the "Air ball Ghost Event" (which it can't do). The sound is the same, but the Air ball itself only shows up in the latter. I might be wrong here, but that is how I remember it.

This is another great video. I'd love another 2-3 videos of this type, especially if you were able to share your thought process when observing ghosts that have demonstrated traits that could be interpreted a number of different ways. An example of where this would be useful is the Moroi at 5:55. My first instinct would be to interpret its increase in speed as a Revenant that has LOS. What helps you correctly identify it as a Moroi? The initial, non-LOS speed?

At 0% sanity the Moroi will be fast, but not nearly as fast as a young Thaye When you're in LOS, the Moroi then speeds up further, a good deal faster than a Revenant The Moroi takes time to reach it's top speed, the Revenant hits it instantly

I play this custom too. At the beginning of the game, I recommend placing lvl1 or lvl2 salt around the bench so it’s easier to identify wraith. I always have enough time to place salt before it hunts. Caught wraith easily many times.

The Hantu would only be fast in or near it's spawning position, as those areas would be the coldest. Had it been snowing, it'd be a different story The Moroi was moving at full speed, so I'm unsure what you mean by it being not very fast

Hey I'm told that with the latest brightness update, my settings sadly can't be replicated without some sort of nvidia experience game filter (I have no idea how those work) You can try to max out your brightness and enable eye adaptation, it would still be very dark but it somewhat works This might not be the answer you were hoping for, and I apologize for that But, you can try to look into the game filter thing, assuming you have a GPU that supports it!

Also the Deo will walk straight towards you, can't hide from a Deo. In your 2,5 metres range the Deo will slow down to roundabout half of the Revenant speed, to be precise it slows down to 0,4m/s, you can take the Deo for a walk to take some pictures

Yes! The Phantom's blinking pattern is slow, so it appears invisible at most times The Oni blinks fast, which makes it almost always visible during hunts

When I smudge a Moroi it doesn't sound like it slows down, so I think it's a Thaye. Am I doing something wrong?

When you smudge a Moroi, it's disoriented for an extended amount of time, compared to every other ghost If you Smudge a Moroi at full speed, it'd slow down about 1.45m/s over a short amount of time The Thaye's speed is determined on how long you've spent around it, so if the smudge doesn't slow it down at all, it's a Thaye

The Revenant is slow when it doesn't know where you are The Moroi remains fast at all times, when your sanity is low and speeds up further when it knows where you are When the Revenant sees you, it's an instant speed increase When the Moroi sees you, it's a gradual speed increase

I would take: Motion Sensor, Salt, and whatever else you need for challanges. Then 2 smudges and lighter. Salt to detect wraith. Motion sensor helps detect Raiju

Whats the Difference between and thaye and moroi like i know that with sanity on moroi but on this challenge u sanity is everytime low i mean in the speed bcs they both are fast but thaye a lil bit faster

The Moroi will speed up further when it sees you, the Thaye will not
