It's a best practice to make the battery leads female not male, to minimize the possiblity of them sitting against each other when unplugged. You can also slightly offset the lengths of the negative and positive battery leads to further limit this possiblity. Thanks for the video.

I haven't measured. A limit might be the motor that is not able to draw more.
@exgenica4 жыл бұрын
Doesn't the display/computer also have a parameter you can set to limit the amps? The EN02 display/computer does. The manual (joke that it is) suggests you can limit the amps by setting this paramater...so if it was preset to 18Amps then that's all that will be allowed. One would have to set it higher if more amps were wanted.
@exgenica4 жыл бұрын
I noticed one of your "cons" is, _"- no switchable power so no USB charger"_ The USB +5V port on the Dohiker version is ALWAYS ON. It's current draw is very very low when not in use. That is also true for many USB "powerbanks"...there is always +5V available but the circuit only draws significant power when a device is plugged into the USB port. So, even though you don't have "switchable power" that shouldn't stop you from having one (or more) USB charging port available at all times.

If you're talking about the United States, then it also depends on who owns the property or has "controlling authority" over the property. There are many private, public, and semi-public areas where you MUST obtain permission to ride even an e-bike. The "class" labels are supposedly required on all e-bikes manufactured after Jan 2019. Example from one state's statutes. A number of states now use the same "boilerplate" statutes. _C. Beginning January 1, 2019, manufacturers and distributors of electric bicycles shall apply a label that is permanently affixed, in a prominent location, to each electric bicycle. The label shall contain the classification number, top assisted speed and motor wattage of the electric bicycle and shall be printed in at least nine-point type. D. A class 1 electric bicycle, a class 2 electric bicycle or an electric standup scooter may be used on bicycle and multiuse paths. A local authority or agency of this state having jurisdiction over a bicycle or multiuse path may prohibit the operation of a class 1 electric bicycle, class 2 electric bicycle or electric standup scooter on the path. E. A class 3 electric bicycle may not be operated on a bicycle or multiuse path unless it is within or adjacent to a highway or roadway or unless the local authority or agency of this state having jurisdiction over the path allows the operation. F. An electric standup scooter must have a unique identification that consists of letters or numbers, or both, and that is visible from a distance of at least five feet. The identification: 1. May not be obscured by branding or other markings. 2. Shall be used in this state to identify the electric standup scooter. This paragraph applies to all persons, including local authorities._
