Great as always, but you missed on the soundstage and imaging on these for what they are getting serious praises.

I just buy these just hours ago, and was wishing you got a review on them before I got them. I was looking for something more portable to use with my A&K Kann Alpha and an upgrade on my FH3, especially regarding treble and kind of a smoother/coherent sound. Hope this fill the bill. Keep on the great work!

Did you consider this an upgrade to the FH3 ?

@@cmoranchel1 I do, a lot. The bass was just bliss!!, strong and so deep. But long term, couldn't stand the lack of precense of voices. Kind of scooped mids. In terms of resolution, there's a lot left to be desired. Very blurry imaging.

Thank yo for your review. Using these iems and really hapy with them. Good at all genres. Fiio made really good iems and best dynamic iem. Ony fd7 that is 2 times pricier can be better. Till now i think fh7 , fd5 and fd7 are best their iems.

For orchestral, FD5 may be a bit better, more bass, Tea 2 is very mid forward, and while it sounds rich, instruments with information in the infrasonics get lost in the mix, while FD5 represents those more capably

Hi georg. I am an audiophile lover🧐. Dude i am thinking about in ears. Hhhmm. I got the hifiman he400i. Is something like the moondrop starfield better? Why getting in ear over a overear. An unrelated question. I currently own a Hiby R3 Pro Saber DAP and Fiio FD3 Pro iem (younger brother of FD5). I run the FD3 Pro balanced from the 2.5mm port in Hiby. I am considering buying a used ibasso dx160. Will I get a considerable improvement in sound quality over the R3 Pro Saber or will the difference be insignificant? Thanks in advance! Lastly, will I be losing much if I buy a used 2019 model of ibasso dx160? Will there be a lot of WiFi and streaming issues?

Hiii About DX160, if it works properly, you should hear a large sonic improvement. Slightly different signature, but just more vivid and lively. But it does work only okay for streaming, it has its own set of issues...

@@AudiophileHeaven Thank you 👍. I hope you may review Fiio FD3 as well sometime in the future. Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews rated the FD3 even higher than the FD5 while costing only 40% of FD5. FD3 Pro, I brought comes with an interchangeable silver plated cable that can use 4.4mm, 2.5mm or 3.5mm terminations. All of which are included in the package.

@@AudiophileHeaven isnt m3x very similar in sound quality to m2x? I dislike the android... Let me elaborate a little. I would like fd5 + player to have a slightly warm signature without sibilance issues.

@@tttyyy949 HM, M3x is kinda bright , might not be the best choice. Especially since you said you dislike android, you could go with a cheaper Hifi Walker H2 which had a nice warmer sound, and costs less too

@@AudiophileHeaven sadly it cant be bought in my country (not very good amount of daps on the market). I can buy r3 pro saber, m2x, hidzis ap80 pro and non-pro, nw-105 (but it has eu volume limit so i guess this one goes out). I even pulled a trigger on cayin r3 pro which is more expensive but it went out of stock... So thats basically my chocies or i would have to go significantly higher in budget to be actually able to buy something. I can buy android if the sound quality still wins, but i treat adroid as a small con rather than pro.

It's a close march, it would be best to hear both. Sennheiser does the midrange slightly worse always, but ends up with a bit more detail
