I know you think the Organic has "better tuning" and a few DB More sub and midbass but i can just bass boost He1000 stealth for those bassy genres like edm. I cant stand overly bright treble and reviwers go back and forth saying either organic is brighter or he1kS is brighter or one has the bigger sound stage! @@AudiophileHeaven build quality honestly looks good but feel cheap, pads is the same story feels cheap and fake but yes fake leather they are :), so I swapped pads to ZMF lambskin from auteur, og pads sounded just a bit more spacious but sub bass was very weak, ZMF pads gave them more bass extension not much was lost, so in few words it is planar that have well tuned highs and mid range (better than Hifiman or Audeze) dynamic punch of those is real deal, details spot on, sub bass is one thing that most of headphones with big soundstage usually lack, my final verdict would be that sound alone is very nice especially in mid range and highs but price is too high for that build and cheap cardboard packaging (bought mine for ~1150$ used so that price was ok, for 2k there are way more option better executed)

how does it compares with similarly priced dongle dacs in term of sound quality alone( for iems exclusively)
@AudiophileHeaven
@AudiophileHeaven 8 күн бұрын
It has a lower noise floor than most dongles, but also lower driving power. While you could argue most IEMs don't need that much power, it helps with giving them a fuller , deeper sound. This being said, I generally would comapre it to 100 USD dongles, because for around 250 USD, you can get a dongle which is similar in sound and resolution, if you don't have headphones. Let's say Shanling UA5, Lotoo PAW S2, iFi Go Bar or Aune Yuki,
@amanieux
@amanieux 8 күн бұрын
@@AudiophileHeaven so for iems exclusively the cheapest dongle dac you mentionned (yuki at $160) is very close in sound quality to this $260 jds lab stack except for this fuller/deeper sound ? is this fullness coming from the bass or the mids or the placebo from big black stack visual aspect vs tiny tinny dongly dongle ? can you set it appart from any dongle you mentionned in a blind test to rule out placebo ?
@AudiophileHeaven
@AudiophileHeaven 8 күн бұрын
Absolutely can tell them apart, each one of those dongles has a signature of its own, and Yuki arguably sounds the most polarizing, extremely wide but also very loud, dynamically compressed. Try a few of them for yourself if you believe they are even similar, you'll be amazed. The tuning and sonic signature differences can be huge.

Hi George. Greetings from India. I have a question for you. You mentioned keeping the subwoofer crossover frequency knob to minimum if not using a dedicated subwoofer. Makes sense and I understand why you say this. But, have you tried if this knob changes the sub bass on the L/R channels? I have had a few cheaper class-D amps from China and the crossover filters for subwoofer only change the output of subwoofer channel. They don't change the main channels at all. Some had a low-cut switch to save the smaller speakers from trying to produce low bass because the low bass isn't filtered on main channels in accordance with crossover point on the SUB-FREQ knob. Can you verify this on the BT30D pro?
@AudiophileHeaven
@AudiophileHeaven 10 күн бұрын
Hii there! Engaging the kob seems to affect the sound in the speakers at least a bit too. The reason is that it searches for a passive subwoofer, so it has to take the power from somewhere, the pre out does not change at all with the knob, but the active subwoofer seems to change a bit. Fosi Audio did make silent revisions in the past though, I read contradictory reviews on Amazon, so I don't want to make any promises with their products, as I never know exactly what is on the shelves.

So I bought this after I accidentally broke my Fiio X5 a couple years back, and I've been itching for a new portable DAC for all my downloaded music. I loved my Fiio X5, but I wish it had Bluetooth as well. I got this for the Bluetooth, but didn't realize that I guess it wouldn't work with Airpods? I also see that when I go to my artists, it just lists all their songs completely. Is there no way to go to an artist, and then view their albums separately, like most, if not all music players? I like the sound of the player, but the playability/enjoyment I get from this doesn't seem on-par with the Fiio X5. Was thinking maybe I'd be better off with an X5 Mark 3? Though I'll probably still be better off sticking with my phone + Spotify until then...
