I have the FiiO FD15. and it is a really well tuned single DD 13.8mm that is a mid lovers dream. I got the same crappy case with mine. FiiO seems to be stepping up their game lately. I have the Q15 Bluetooth dac amp and it has the top of the line AK4499EX chip set in it which has very organic sound. It beats mu Gryphon by ifi, hands down. Great review Ian as always. Keep up the great reviews.

i never expected "muddy" to be used as a description for the sound of a planar-magnetic driver IEM.

Hey, thanks for your review, it seems it's the first one 🙂. Could you compare these sound wise with MP145 or other planars, like F1 Pro or S12 Pro or P20?

Looks like S08 got a new warm non-planar-sounding planar friend to play with in FP3 xD

S12 Pro for me is the golden standard for planar IEMs at this price. Is the Fp3 Better?

Hello, I really liked the review and your opinion in general, I would like you to record a video with a well-matched 4.4 cable for them. And also with perfectly matched ear pads so that you have an idea of how much you can squeeze out of them to the maximum... For example, planar gets along well with graphene cables like Аккорд Kbear.

The difference is usually always the same, a bit more clarity.

Hey brother, i never experienced the sound of a planer driver iem, how they differ from the dynamic driver in terms of sound quality?
@Moorbs2 ай бұрын
They typically have wider soundstage, tighter sound and in my experience more sibilance. People like to say DD are better for bass but I disagree, bass is usually very controlled with excellent sub-bass. I think the tech works best when used as a micro planar for a particular pitch range. I'm tempted to try these out though.

I do agree with his points, i prefer planar for midbass, but DD for subass. Mids can go either way but i feel DD are a little smoother overall on DDs. Planars are typically left a little sibilant on a lot of sets compared to DDs, but honestly thats such an easy fix that companies should adress from the factory but dont. Planars are faster and and reproduce treble frequencies quicker, so even at the same FR level as a DD, it could still sound sharper or have less weight to it than a planar, same for Bass. I agree that I personally prefer microplanars for the higher frequencies compared to DDs overall, but i cant quite give an answer when compared to BAs, ESTs, PZTs or BC drivers

Looks like they are a pair of Planar IEMs that DONT sound like Planar IEMs.

cheap planar iems are such a rubbish. It all depends on quality rather than planar or ba or dd etc.
