Just a heads up if anyone reads this: DO NOT UPDATE TO VERSION 1.9 IN THE FIIO CONTROL APP!! It will brick your JA11 dongle. I tried updating in the app, and it didn't work. I cancelled the update, but it bricked the dongle and now it isn't recognized by my phone nor PC anymore.

Probably it will need some driver (I'm not sure here, as I didn't use windows for 10+ years), and you can leave it plugged

yes, it's saved on the dongle. not sure about "forever", but at least when I plug-unplug them for tests :)

Any idea which chip is inside this DAC is it Conexant or something else? and does it support TRRS ? meaning earphones with microphone integrated to take skype or zoom calls?

No, I don't know what chip is used here. As for inline microphone, specs say it's supported, so yes, it should work

The name of the chip isn't mentioned it's just written integrated chip in the specs. For all we know is its frequency response range which is 20Hz~50,000Hz and its output Power.

I have one it is comparable to the Sound Blaster Play 3 these two are the best of the inexpensive dongles I've tried. I happen to prefer the Sound Blaster which doesn't get any love not sure why.
