I have the K11 and am pretty happy with it. Although I‘m not a big fan of multi-function knob. Switching it off requires a looooong press. A big plus which you didn’t mention in the review is that the firmware is user-upgradeable which is great.

I forgot about the firmware being upgradable because the original one was perfect, so I didn't have to do it. For example, with FiiO Q15, as I had to upgrade the firmware, I did mention it quite a bit.

Hi, I'm wondering if you can help me; I plan to use this as a DAC on my PC which means i need 2 outputs; 1 to my headphones and 1 to the amplifier. Can i use RCA from the DAC to the amplifier, and if so how do you select between "headphones vs rca" is it a control knob or does plugging in headphone make it prioritise the headphones? Thanks! You can use it that way, and it allows you to select which output you want to use by double clikcing on the volume wheel

they really need to start using USBC for power at least. the SR11 latest release use it.

Getting power from the Type-C input is always nice, but it means having the power converter in the unit, which usually means larger units, or heavier ones. The company making a device can also give it better driving power when it is powered from an external brick, while keeping it cheaper for the customer. But I agree, it would be nice to not need something plugged in a power outlet

RIP Big Knobs. I like Big Knobs. I have a similar style Topping A50s and the Volume Knob is very tiny, smooth and hard to grip. Next Headphone Amp I get, I'll get one with BIG Knob because it's more satisfying. How is the knob on K11? Is it easy to turn? Is it satisfying? Haha. Thanks for the Review.

It is not very hard to turn, but it clicks. If you need something analogic, JDS Labs has the JDS Atom 2 AMP and the DAC 2 resulting in the JDS Stack 2

I bought one of these last November when Amazon had a 20% discount. I found the sound cut out quite regularly for a millisecond, whatever headphones I used. I updated the firmware at the time (which I'm still on) and it did seem to 99.9% cure it. I swear it still happens every now and then though. I'm not sure if it's a computer thing? I use it via usb to my laptop while I'm still using the laptop. I don't know if that can interfere with the signal especially if the processor gets too busy? Also it has 6 filters which you didn't touch on so I don't know if you've experimented with them. I was going to ask what they did and what the best one would be?

The filters change the reconstruction filter, but to most listeners they sound the same, and with K11, they are way too similar to each other for me to insist on them. As for the song cutting out, that is a software / hardware issue. I had this happen on my PC and a windows reinstall fixed it. Very interested in this as my first dac amp, i currently run my headphones (DT770 Pro X) into my interface (M-audio track solo) .. i have enough power so i'm not sure if this will be huge upgrade? can also buy second hand zen dac v1 for half the price... what do you guys think?

K11 should sound a bit better than zen dac V1, but regarding to how it would compare to the interface, I am not sure, I have not heard it

I found the k11 to be junk. Clipping, BAD BAD clipping . Sent it back and got the topping d3x pro+, zero problems.

Seeing way to many sound quality issues with this DAC. Build quality(+) vs sound quality(-) is a bummer. Seeing reviewers comparing the sound to dongle dacs is not a confidence builder.
