In this video, Janak Lotwala, a retail investor with over 10 years of experience in investing in the stock market, discusses the shameless copycat framework that he uses to analyze FII stocks. He will also use this framework to analyze the top 5 small-cap companies on his watchlist. This framework says that an investor should copy what strong institutions do and here it means what does the FII stocks do.
CAMS has great growth numbers, and it is a proxy stock for the mutual fund industry. It also has many optionalities in the future, like an autopay platform for fintech under the name of CAMSPay, KYC services, and an insurance repository under the name of CAMSRep.
Chalet Hotels is looking for expansion at religious places; FII stakes have also increased. It is observed that the demand for this industry will increase in the next 5 years, but supply will not be up to par, so at this point this industry is going through an upcycle.
Aptus Value Housing Finance India Ltd.'s FII stake has increased in this company, and year-on-year growth is 25% in this quarter.
Mannapuram Finance is an NBFC that lends loans with gold as collateral. The P/B ratio is also higher (3x).
Kfintech is also in the mutual fund industry; it has a good ROE, and FII stakes have also increased.
