Thanks for the good review of our national airline ! Appreciate it greatly ! Just on the seat to lay flat bed , usually the crew makes your bed before you sleep - they put a soft topper ontop of the seat for a real comfy sleep. I wonder why it didnt happen on your flight. Maybe by the time they swung around to do yours you waz alseep already. Anyways new sub here. A fijian residing in San Francisco, Ca. Happy travels !!!

I'm glad you enjoyed my review. I wasn't aware that they offered a soft topper. I still loved the flight. You Fijians are so kind and happy. I've never been around such positive energy from a group of people. I hope to fly Fiji Airways again 🇫🇯 ✈️

Love the review. From the lounges to in-flight. The futon experience in lay flat I know well. You and that champagne 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️. Glad you had a positive experience overalll. It rained a lot so I didn't get much footage when there, but I'm still happy I went. It was a very different and cool culture to visit 🇫🇯

A well put together review. I was wondering how long it would take you to realise that the major airport you were travelling to is pronounced “Narn-dee”, not “Nar-dee”!

Thanks for the great review! It looks like the upgrade to business here is worth extra spend for an 11hr flight. Looking forward to finding a similar flight experience (LAX to NAN). Can you share the best way to use Amex MR points to take advantage of this Fiji Air flight (via transfer partners/alliances?

For business class to NAN from LAX using your membership rewards points, check out Qantas, or if you can get a transfer bonus British Airways. Both programs are partnered with Fiji Airways.

I'm doing your trip in a few weeks. Just wondering if 2 hrs layover in LAX will give me time to stop by the lounges before boarding.

A 2-hour layover, you will probably get about 1 hour at the lounge since the gate is a short hike, and boarding starts a little early. So I would say just choose one lounge because it is unlikely you will have enough time to truly enjoy both.

Great review of this product. Also, enjoyed the OneWorld Lounge. I used to go to that lounge in the past when I traveled for work. Anyways, just found your channel and subscribed.

@@jpknowledge8852 they joined in December, But their website or when you book still doesn’t show anywhere to add ktn number. So you have to call them to add it

Thanks for the heads up about no TSA pre at LAX. I booked on AA for 80k miles IAH-LAX-NAN. Do you know if I'll have to recheck bags in LAX since I'm flying IAH-LAX on AA? I might try carry-on only if I would need to recheck bags just to avoid dealing with regular security in LAX. Thanks for the in-depth review and lounge tips. Excited for our trip this summer.

That I don't know for certain. If it is all booked on the same itinerary, typically, you don't have to recheck your bag. But I would contact AA to confirm. I never check bags myself.🧳

I booked it using Alaska Airlines miles. Alaska Airlines is partnered with Fiji Airways. If you can find award availability, it is only 55,000 miles plus about $100 in taxes for business class to Fiji 😁

ANA is a part of Star Alliance, so look for the best deals with Star Alliance partners and book them with you ANA miles.

*A LAX is my favorite. The outdoor patio with fire pits is cool, as are the self-pour alcohol and showers. I liked the basement Centurion lounge for the few weeks it was open at the beginning of Covid.

I still like the Basement centurion lounge 😆. I would prefer the Star Alliance lounge or One World Lounge, but compared to other centurion lounges around the country, I've never had an issue getting into the centurion lounge at LAX. Maybe because it is in the Basement 😂

$10,000 is way too much! If you can get points with a One World Airline partner, it can make it much more affordable, though it may be difficult finding 4 seats. Fiji Airways is great, though. The happiest staff I've ever met 🇫🇯❤️

⁠⁠@@jpknowledge8852 isn’t it crazy? We chose 4 XL seats instead and I’m hoping the kiddos will at least get some shut eye lol! Being cdn our choices are limited with point systems however our stay in Fiji is covered on Amex travel so I wouldn’t complain too much lol! Thanks again!
