I remember as a young child back in those days, it seems so surreal now, a totally different era than what it is today, there weren't that many people in Suva, people were buying with pounds and pennies, life was very simple and pleasant, but one thing hasnt changed people are still friendly, down to earth and approachable

I was born in the 2000s era but looking at the simplicity and way of life Fiji had, I wouldn’t hesitate even once to go back in time and live here… This video truly touches every Fijian’s heart ❤️

As a kiwi with Indo Fijian parents, now it makes sense to me why their hearts yearn and ache for Fiji of the old days, look at the beauty and ghost charismatic it was as a South Pacific nation! Easily looking just like any city in NZ or Australia during the same era. Looking at Fiji now there is a strong difference though not sure if it’s looking as prosperous as you can see here in these video images. God bless Fiji, my ancestral homeland.

Sir Kenneth Maddock did a great job in enforcing and maintaining public urban and rural hygiene back then.Such a shame there was these groups at the time calling for an independence movement.He was governor at the time and the British administration was really building the country up post world war 2.

Fiji Airways?? Can anyone explain
@prasadsatish971 Жыл бұрын
Fiji airways was named air Pacific then it was changed back to Fiji airways and how it should be Fiji airways of those days. Suva then was one regardless which culture their off. Politics and hungry for power has changed this once beautiful oneness together with each other's culture and traditions and customs and true friendship. Miss those days of Suva

Did you ever regret getting independent…. Look at French Polynesia… people there got French passports, all benefits from France, free healthcare and education…. All social support You would be the same under British… was it worth it?
