very impressive, looking at the website and various 3-D renders, it would appear that the filament enters the machine into a piece of PTFE tubing from the right hand side around that tubing there is a coil which looking at the parts only version of the machine there is an induction coil so I'm assuming that induction coil induces the coil that is around the PTFE tubing to the correct temperature using a time circuit there is obviously a sensors and or switches involved to stop the filament at the right place and to allow it to proceed once fused. It's not the cheapest of machines but certainly looks probably the best one out there and if you are a user that has dozens of pieces of leftover filament or want to experiment with multicoloured filament of your own I would imagine this machine would be ideal but I think it would be too expensive for the average 3-D printer hobbyist at around €330 for the complete kit but I have to admit it is very interesting and an ingenious design. It certainly looks most easiest way to join filaments with zero post production. Assuming I have the funding, I would certainly buy one. I'm tempted to save for it. I just love the way it's been put together and the look of it makes me think it has a engineered steam punk feel about it which I like. I can certainly see a lot of engineering has gone into making it being an engineering myself and the inventor has really sort out carefully the process.. Well done guys any discounts for the wonderful review?

This with some color management system like the Prusa MMU to cut and feed the colors would be really cool to make your own custum color changing filament

Hi, thanks for the idea but if we can get back into the various costs and then manage to get a higher financial loan we are thinking of developing a slicer that will give us the possibility to create a multicolored reel suitable for the type of printing to be carried out only that a large investment is needed which we hope to achieve as soon as possible. Thanks again!!!!

Nice, but I would prefer something that just works and without a huge parts list i.e. without all the bells and whistles such as a screen and GUI.

I thought abt just getting a 1.75 sized hole in a tube and cutting it into a “u” shape then just use a lighter heat it and squish it

Look, it's a very industrial thing because it's as if you put any waste inside a tank in which you fuse the materials together, obviously they have to be of the same type, and therefore you solder the various filament scraps. The Slunaz was designed to weld any type of 3D printing filament.
@slunaz
@slunaz 3 ай бұрын
@@PilotpeggaThanks for the comment, unfortunately with this method the welding gets stuck in the 3D printer and creates big problems but our machine was invented to safeguard the planet and obtained from filament waste a single spool, even multicolored and above all to join the PET1 filaments which are easily available and you can create as many spools as you want

Hello and thanks for the comment. The machine attaches any type of filament and is especially recommended for those who would like to recycle plastic bottles and create filament spools. There are several videos on KZbin that demonstrate how it works with PET bottles. If you are interested in more information, visit our products page: www.slunaz.com/shop-ff1r/
