Tilapia are great for filamentous algae. It’s all they ear

They will nibble on it. But DO NOT USE THIS DAMN POISON! just scoop out the algae if it’s getting bad

It's extremely toxic to koi and carp. I'm thinking of getting sterilized grass carp but that would preclude me from ever using copper sulfate again

@@user-uq8fu4dw2i i have two grass carp in a pond about the size of this video and i still get filamentous algae. its not a cure all the grass carp eat OTHER algae first. Filamentous is the last one they'll eat. by the time they get to it, you already have a thick matt.

So much for using chemicals safely. What’s the point of the gloves if you put your hands in the chemicals first. Also, why not use a sprayer instead of slopping chemicals all over the place. Diquat aquatic herbicide works much better and it’s not true about applying late in the summer or even mid summer. It works amazingly well. What’s bad is to not do anything at. Take time to have a more professional video and people will take more stock in it. Looks like you just threw it together at the last second without any talking points.

Horrible video the volume was so low couldn't hardly hear either of you but whoever it was that said something probably the camera person he was loud and clear perhaps you should reshoot the video. Sorry just letting you know.

The toxic effects of this stuff are not worth it. I'll stick to beneficial bacteria/muck pellets, a weed rake, aeration, and pond dye.
