Informative as always . At 4:32 that was a high angle of attack protection so autopilot would disconnect and pitch down towards Alpha PROT. You should check out what FBW added the A.Floor function so that’ll be interesting. I’ll be looking forward to the upcoming hydraulics system. Cheers!

I like the V/S climb called as "very stupid" haha :-) I have had this problem with the CRJ a lot as it would try to climb too excessive in V/S mode and then finally got into a stall.

Wow...i just experienced that yesterday on Vatsim flight. I had to expedite my descent, and asked AP to descend on idle. And at what moment due to soeed restrictions, it levelled up to slow down...logic, but it didn't suit me, so i overide it by requesting and descend rate in fpm, and that's exactly what happened...orange flickering box! Your vudeos are such great and valuable info...and i LOVE the comparison with real world A320, that you give.

Hi, could you explain the vertical speed mode in relation to the Speed mode? I understand the priority is given to the Rate if Climb or descent but I cant get my head around how thrust us controlling the speed? Would the thrust adjust to maintain the managed or selected speed while the pitch tries to maintain the rate?
@320SimPilot3 жыл бұрын
Your assumption is correct! The auto thrust if engaged will normally go to 'speed' mode where it tries to maintain the selected/managed speed on the speed tape. However it may not be able to maintain this speed, hence these protections.
@chrisculpepper53843 жыл бұрын
today I had... issues, during climb out and was about to nose down to avoid a stall and a protection kicked in for the first time. Something like TOGA MAX. I had to eventually turn off Auto THR and reset it to revert back to CLB mode. nice. It looks like they added several airbus protecitons

Hi, Thanks, Please can you create a video explaining from the cockpit what lead to the crash of the A320 at the Habsheim Air Show. Think it was a mix of various protections and low throttle that just left it a the angle. Maybe a mix of Flare mode?

Great video! Do you let them know the things that aren't exactly real life ie not aggressive enough, idle thust not flashing, auto pilot disengaging as you mentioned in this video?
@df981563 жыл бұрын
Nice! That's pretty cool. I wonder if this is in the Toliss aircraft as well. Digressing, but someone should do a cleanup of your playlists, there's double videos in there, and maybe a couple playlists could be merged into one?

Does the airbus change speed units from mach to knts? This protection was going on while descent, because the speed was in .80 match and i wasnt watching, it was going into nosedives.
@320SimPilot3 жыл бұрын
The real aircraft will automatically swap over during the climb/descent but it is important we monitor it just incase! In managed speed mode it will swap over at the pre programmed descent speeds, it is very clever! Thanks for watching.

that tripple clicking noice you usually hear after AP disconect you mean? I always wondered what that means :) but why does it sound after AP disc actually?
@tomstravels5203 жыл бұрын
If you’re talking about the cavalry sound that’s to warn you the autopilot has disconnected. 3 times if it was done by the red disconnect button on the sidestick or continuous by any other means or turned itself off. The triple click sound is only for an uncommanded change of mode such as NAV to HDG. On approach when you disconnect the autopilot it’s to alert you’ve gone from CAT3 to CAT1 approach

I noticed a possible bug or something I am doing wrong . When using EFB and inputting my simbrief user name using keyboard. The letter A - V keys are mapped to other functions so when these are pressed it moves away from the task of inputting my username . Is this something I am not doing within MSFS ?
@chaoz16663 жыл бұрын
that is just the way ms fs2020 handles input, if you want to avoid that, you should try pressing right alt + click on the efb to pop it into its own window
