I usually do my filet crochet with two double crochets in the middle. I think that (depending on your design) it can be more readable to do two stitches in the middle because it creates a more full and tight square. but either way filet crochet is such a good craft im happy to see more people doing it

Thank you for mentioning this! I do use this technique sometimes. I definitely think that having both methods under your belt is a good idea :)

How does that work? Adding two, wouldn’t it just keep making the garment or whatever wider in those spots? Or is it just two the first row? Not sure I’ve asked a clear question, sorry if it sounds confusing, not sure how else to put it.

@@lanaconin5704 yes it does make it wider. Just for certain designs especially rly detailed ones I think it helps make ur design more clear. So I start a filet crochet project when I want to use two double crochets in the middle by multiplying by three to get that first chain count instead of multiplying by two. I hope that makes sense lol

I've seen your filet crochet top video(s), but I haven't been interested in this technique before now. I've just realized my organza curtains are developing holes and need to be replaced, and suddenly your filet crochet videos are coming in clutch 😅

I haven’t tried this yet, other thing I’ve never done is granny squares 😂 being in Australia I prefer more open stitches that are nice and cool, no point crocheting thick things when it’s really only winter for one month a year (and not sure a Brit like you would call it winter at all but I had my first ever 13 degree Celsius day last winter and I swear I nearly froze to death 💯😭😂💯). Damn this is a random comment. Sorry 😬😂

don't know if it's impressive or scary how good this is in spite of this yarn over technique like what do you mean you move your index finger every time you make a stitch i could never
@divynecrochet4 ай бұрын
Everyone crochets differently i guess, i know my way of crocheting isn’t that common. For me moving my fingers like that helps me get into a bette flow, allowing me to crochet faster.

@@divynecrochet no yea i can see that, you make it look smooth and efficient somehow!! i was just legitimately surprised i hadn't ever seen this before, might try it out i'm actually curious to find out how it feels tbh

I need the pattern for crocheting the last name. I need the alphabet. Does anyone have this pattern?
