Filigree Christmas ornament - wire work tutorial

Hi Guys! In this tutorial I want to show you how to create wire filigree ornament (can also be a pendant or earrings) using undrilled diamond cut gemstones and wire (you can just use drilled beads instead if you don't have any or you are not comfortable with the technique. I will show you how to create the base shape, components and create the settings to secure your stones and how to finish your piece.

- 0.4 mm (26 ga) wire
- 1.3 mm (16 ga) wire
- 0.6 mm (22 ga) square wire
- 0.6 mm (22 ga) half round wire
- 3 mm round faceted gemstone
- 4 mm round faceted gemstone
- 5 mm round faceted gemstone

- Fine tipped flush cutters
- Heavy duty flush cutters
- Chain nose pliers
- Round nose pliers
- Flat nose pliers
- Chasing hammer
- Steel block

Im just looking to start making wire jewellery, can you suggest the materials I'd need to be smoke to start making some basic pieces please. Ive always wanted to have a go with this, i fo lots of crocheted and i make jewellery by macrame and i would like to hope the basics are the same.
