It was close. But at age 40 and the road he took to get here...you cant help but feel for Zhang. For years hes been considered a bit of a circus attraction ratber than a legit contender. He finally showed here that he wasnt just Andre the giant...and he loses. Hrgovic couldve came again. Zhang gave pretty much the remainder of his youth as a boxer in that fight. But props. He entertained.

I was very impressed with Zhang, not so much with Hrgovic. If he was a few years younger he might have gotten Hrgovic out of there. Zhang did a good job of mixing up his punches and his defense was a bit better than I expected. I could see Zhang getting other big money fights, why not Joyce, Dubois or Chisora?

I was also surprised at how wild and raucous this was. Hrgovic did weird things like seeming to quit but then again I got the feeling it was that slippery spot and he was just showing how annoying it was that he had to walk around? Zhang actually impressed the hell out of me with incredible determination. At the end, its as if he was drowning in water to breathe, crazy. very difficult to score in some rounds where .. i dunno.. who knows what to reward more? It was a damn good fun fight tho!

Hrgović doesn't go by "EL ANIMAL" just for fun. He's a dangerous fighter. He totally destroyed Zhang in the 12th round and Zhang ran away before the final bell rang. Ultimately, Hrgović won clearly. Zhang had his moments, but they were inconsistent.

We felt Zhang won the fight, he had Hrgovic hurt so bad so many times, but at the end our scorecard had it 114-113 to Hrgovic. Zhang's gas tank let him down again, allowing Hrgovic to sweep 5 of the last 6 rounds. Very fortunate for him and very unfortunate for Zhang. Really fun fight to watch and surely a rematch is in order.

It was a close fight to be honest. I think Hrgovic did enough to edge Zhang out as he outworked him. In terms of who the boss was in the fight, I give that to Zhang. He was pacing himself as he has stamina issues but when he let his hands go he hurt Hrgovic pretty much every time. Hrgovic definitely has a great chin!

It's a couple things. That "knockdown" was cuffing. Zhang was excellent at cutting off the ring and leading Hrgovic into is left. Both men showed great chins. Hrgovic didn't help himself there were several times he disengaged and seemed goofy. But scoring it round by round Hrgovic wins on activity I think. Zhang landed heavy shots but he took whole rounds off where he didnt punch at all. I like a draw but this was a great fight to watch.

Good fight, I really enjoyed it. Tbh I felt Zhang edged it. I’ve seen Hrgovic lots + the fight v Joyce.
