Filip Hrgovic had a very competitive fight with Zhang Zhilei which many people out there felt he lost, but he is not against giving Zhang Rematch because he believes he will knock him out in a rematch. Hrgovic Dad passed away a few months before the fight and he opened up on how this effected him going into the Zhang fight.

I've never been a big Hrgovic guy and I'd never want to disregard someone's father passing away and the fight being delayed the first time and look I know Zhang is a tough guy and easy to say any version of Hrgovic should have dispatched him but I believe he'll have another fight before he gets anywhere near Usyk and maybe he can reverse the outcome of the first fight so good luck to Filip and we'll see if he can get to the top

NOT a gift W... Hrgovic won 6 or 7 rounds. 114-113 either way is the only way I see that fight going & plenty of people (including me) scored it for Hrgovic. Boxingscene being one & fan scorecard websites like fight-score & eyeonthering being a near 50/50 split among the users. A gift W implies ROBBERY, it was a controversial win* Anyone who had it wider than 114-113 for either man is simply wrong including 2 judges that were 1 round too generous to Hrgovic. It was a very close fight that could've reasonably went either way. I remember watching this fight live with my old man & we both had a different winner by a 1PT difference.

Hahaha "6ft 6 Chinese monster"...but condolences for his loss...Hrgovic is a str8 shooter... I like him... He has a chance to beat all the top guys... They all stay swerving... Like they have been... I had Zhang win tbh.. Hrgovic would probably tell me to go eff myself😁.. But I think both him and Zhang can beat each other.. But that was a bad night 4 him bearing in mind his fathers loss. He looked awful though. If he won 8 then he was lucky. Zhang however won rounds decisevely , hurt hrgovich many times and dropped him.

@@NelsonVanDweller That knock down was not a true knock down. Zhang rabbit punched Hrgović then continued to pull his head down to the canvas. Have you ever had a 6'6, 277 lbs man do that to you? You're probably going to fall off your feet. Nevertheless, Zhang needs to throw more punches if he wants to have a decision victory. He lost to Parker because he just stands there with his guard up. Even with him dropping Parker twice (these were true knock downs) he still lost because he doesn't throw enough punches in win rounds.

@@MrBri0523 nah that's not how it works. You can't ignore a knockdown on the scoring because you believed it wasn't. If a knockdown was scored then unfortunately the judges must take the referees decision. The parker fight was completely separate too.

​@@NelsonVanDwellerDid I ignore the knockdown? I certainly didn't. I gave round one to Zhang. I gave 8 rounds to Hrgović and 4 rounds for Zhang. Nevertheless, it wasn't a true knock down. If you watch the replays of that knockdown, Zhang actually stepped on Hrgović's foot before the rabbit hook pull down. Lol obviously the Parker fight is a separate issue, but not entirely. Zhang behaved the same way with Parker as he did with Hrgović. Zhang was a punching bag for most of the fight.

@@MrBri0523 your opinion of the knockdown is irrelevant and would be a separate debate. Just because he fought the same way in the parker fight doesn't alter the scoring of this fight. Whatever though, if you think hrgovich won the fight ,fair enough, it's possible . No need to come up with random crap around it that just makes you seem biased. It's like you got a dislike for Zhang and you can't separate that from your scoring .

Everyone was judging Zhangs ability by his poor performance in the Forest fight, but they don’t realise Zhang was fighting with kidney failure….it was a close fight which I had Filip winning….the knockdown awarded to Zhang was also a bs knockdown

I hope Filip is better mental place. And hope he finds peace and heals from the loss. I would love that rematch. Because he lost that fight. I thought he would starch him. But he didn’t. And while biased to Filip I scored it for zhang by 1 round. Zhang beat him very clean and clearly. Idk how the rematch looks purely because of how old zhang is, but if fathertime hasn’t caught up I got zhang knocking him out in the rematch.

I am Croat and fan of Hrgovic, but I think that he didn't win. I think that chinese guy was robbed. Hrgovic had a hard time in his family. His father passed away. Maybe that is the reason why he won. I think judges were on his side because of that situation. It is not fair at all but that is sport today if you understand...

How was he robbed? Watch the entire fight, not just the highlights. Hrgović clearly won. There's no possible way Zhang won the fight. Zhang was way too inactive and just stood there with his guard up for most of the fight and threw a few flurries here and there.
