I just checked... Philippine Airlines wants $5100 for a nonstop round-trip ticket right now (Business Class). As I only fly business class, I find that ridiculous. Saudi Arabian and Singapore Airlines are cheaper by far. The downside is you have to do one stop.

I doubt I will return to Philippines till 2023. Had the Philippine Government announced this quarantine lift back in November, I'd have bought tickets to JULY stay in Manila, rather than booking a business class trip to MALDIVES on Emirates using their Business Class. I spent $5000 to go round trip to Maldives on Emirates from JFK. The hotel cost is around $600. Meanwhile, to go to Philippines, Philippine airlines is very expensive. Their business class ticket on their A350 nonstop is 16 hours and exceeds $4500. The condo stay for the month is about $20 a day so it is more than $500 for the month. I doubt I'd want to return to Philippines this year. I could wait until the situation there stabilizes.

I understand,actually I feel the same way. I have a student who posted over Instagram that he was on his way to LA,from Japan Haneda airport when he got a cancellation over his email. It’s very unpredictable
