Quite simply the greatest entertainer in history. That's why he was voted the entertainer of the century. He could sing country, blues, Christmas, gospel, standards, not to mention he was the king of rock and roll. What a voice.

Rips your heart out to know this was when his wife just announced she was leaving him. He went down hill from here and was dead in 4 years. This was literally his last goodby to her. That kind of emotion can't be faked even by the best actors.

One of Elvis greatest gift when he sang was he could sing serious . Not many singers can sing a song in a serious way . You can feel the pain in his voice the seriousness. He moved you deep inside

I got to this 1973 concert when I was 21 n lucky to seat 3rd row center n couldn't take my eyes off of him I loved every song he did well I love every thing Elvis. " I'll Remember You 1973", The Wonder Of You 1970, You' Lost That Loving Feeling 1970( the Righteous brothers sang. This concert was after his divorce n he also said he was very nervous before going on stage. In some interviews he said he had stage fright before EVERY concert. I met Charlie Hodge n became friends of him for 8 years after E died. He wrote a great book. Being his confidant n best friend living at Graceland to be with him if he needed something. He told many great stories. He said not to call him King Elvis always said that there was only one King Jesus n he was only an entertainer. I will give some more E songs of the 400 I know. You always have great reactions. Stay Safe my friend

When he sang this song you could feel the raw emotions that this man was feeling he put his heart and soul into all of his music but it was this song to me that spoke lots and lots of volume when it came to the part where he would say that no one would care and no one would try if he should live or die that part of the song really hits the heart because it has raw emotion I believe he was Heaven Sent actually he was an angel Sent From Heaven to entertain us for 21 years but God saw his angel suffering and God took his Angel back home but we'll get to see this great Entertainer again someday soon

FYI - Virtually every song on the Aloha Hawaii special is pure gold, and it was the first time ever a concert was televised over satellite feed worldwide. Another bit of info, the proceeds from this show went to charity, the march of dimes I think. Elvis did not charge huge ticket prices for this show, anyone that wanted to see this show could -pay whatever they could afford and they were let in.
@jancril75053 жыл бұрын
Pfff he was a real G, unlike people these days charging 700 for a damn ticket. Ridiculous 🙄
@silverstar42892 жыл бұрын
Yes, if you see any other live performances he did, this concert was perfection
@rong8054 жыл бұрын
Many other artists only do a portion of a song, have the audience sing parts of it, and dance so much, they can barely sing. Sometimes they even lipsynch bcuz the dancing becomes the main focus. Not Elvis. Many of his concert songs could be one - take releases. Don't care that he's not moving around everywhere, the focus is on the music!

Aarlehn, I missed this just had an alert. Over Christmas we've had a deluge off Elvis on TV. In depth programmes of his life, the 68 Comeback Special, Aloa from Hawaii and Viva Las Vegas. Do you know he's sold more of everything after his death than before. A huge hotel has been built just up the road from Graceland, must have cost millions of dollars, just opened. Recently the Lisa Marie plane has been returned to Graceland after being sold by his father Vernon just after Elvis died. Its very big business now run by his ex wife and daughter Lisa Marie. 43 years now. His legacy lives on longer than his time on 🌎 Very well done again 👏

Jenny did you know that elvis Presley and his home Graceland mansion are featured in the movie zombieland 2 double tap and his actual pair of blue suade shoes are also featured in this movie as well
@jamess.merritt53533 жыл бұрын
Jenny the hearse that took elvis to his final resting place was stolen from his museum in nashville, Tennessee and has just been found burned out a fire-gutted shell of what it use to be when the hearse took elvis Presley to his final resting place at the cemetery were he was later moved from to his now final resting place at Graceland mansion in the meditation garden were the rest of his family is buried except for his ex-wife Priscilla and lisa Marie are still alive lisa Marie is now 53 yrs old and Priscilla Presley is now 75 yrs old elvis Presley if he had lived he would have.been 85 yrs of age being that he was born on January 8.1935 in East tupelo,mississippi.

Aarlehn a definite must, I've just found it. AMERICAN PIE - THE TRUE MEANING - DAY THE MUSIC DIED, Don McLean. This was a huge hit worldwide a while ago, this song was written firstly for the tragic deaths of Buddy Holly 22, Ritchie Valens 17 and the Big Boppa 29, I've told you this before, this video shows some of the words, its very deep but not sad. Something to get your teeth into, its very different, story telling...... If you can fit it in please....

I think he committed suicide, he couldn't cope with his fame and his life, he'd had enough. I'm not the only one who thinks this, as I've said before we feel his pain, rediculous really for a man we didn't know who died 43 years ago. I've cried all through this 😪
