Honestly this is normal for a lot of Filipinas. When I was working as a manager overseas, 75% of my staff were Filipino. The women would always cook and bring things to share. My wife(Filipina)does the same things.

What, no bacon, heaven forbid. I developed a taste for spicy food while living in Mexico for a year. I don't like so hot that it sears my taste buds off and I can no longer taste anything. I make my guacamole a little bit differently. I add finely diced tomato and onion, a touch of garlic powder and season to taste with salt, pepper and Cholula hot sauce and one half teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce. Don't forget the Filipino Ketchup, also known as soy sauce. Okay, now my stomach is growling, so I guess I better feed it. Wish I had a platter of Lumpia, as I would even come up for air. Take care.
