As the soothing melody of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" filled the room, PRC Angel and Mhel found themselves captivated by the enchanting voice of Israel IZ Kamakawiwo'ole. The song's gentle strumming of the ukulele and the heartfelt lyrics resonated deeply within their souls, evoking a whirlwind of emotions.
Mhel, with tears welling up in her eyes, couldn't help but be overwhelmed by a wave of nostalgia. The lyrics transported her back to a time when dreams seemed within reach, when life was filled with endless possibilities. She found solace in the song's message of hope and longing for a better tomorrow, a place where troubles melt away like lemon drops.
Sensing Mhel's emotional state, Angel reached out and gently placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. With a compassionate smile, she began to delve into the profound meaning behind the song's lyrics. Angel explained that "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" symbolized the pursuit of happiness and the yearning for a utopian world, a place where dreams come true and troubles are left behind.
She emphasized that the song's lyrics were a reminder to never lose sight of one's aspirations, to keep believing in the power of dreams even when faced with adversity. Angel spoke of the importance of finding inner strength and resilience, as well as the significance of cherishing the beauty and wonder that exists in the world.
Together, they explored the song's underlying themes of optimism, resilience, and the unwavering human spirit. Angel reminded Mhel that life's challenges may be daunting, but with hope and determination, one can overcome any obstacle. She encouraged Mhel to embrace the message of the song and let it inspire her to keep reaching for the stars.
As the song reached its crescendo, Mhel's tears transformed into tears of gratitude and renewed hope. She realized that the power of music lies not only in its ability to evoke emotions but also in its capacity to heal and uplift the soul. With Angel's support and the profound meaning behind the lyrics, Mhel felt a renewed sense of purpose and determination to chase her dreams, no matter how distant they may seem.
In that moment, the song became more than just a beautiful melody; it became a catalyst for personal growth and a reminder that, despite life's challenges, there is always a glimmer of hope shining brightly somewhere over the rainbow.

The reason he reminds you of Moana is because they are both Samoan.

Just FYI, this song is from one of the most famous movies of the 20th century released in 1939 'The Wizard of Oz' and was sung by Judy Garland. This version was highly popularized in the 2004 movie '50 First Dates'. The theme of the song is actually a realization that all you need is at home.

The last minute or so of the video was IZ's funeral - with half of Hawaii coming out to send him off. Those were his ashes being poured into the sea during that final shot. Sadly, IZ passed away not very long after recording the songs that made up his only album, and it took a couple of years before his music reached the mainland America, but his music has been used in several movies and has become well-known from people falling in love with his songs and sharing them with friends, who share it with their friends. His influence lives on.

It was the middle of the night when a record producer got a phone call to open his studio. He did and in walked Iz with his ukulele and in one take they got this song. Just Iz playing the uke on a chair in front of a microphone. Truly a marvelous and amazingly talented man.

IZ was one of the best singers and performers of all time. It was terrible his life was so short. And Yes that was his last name. Born Israel Kaʻanoʻi Kamakawiwoʻole May 20, 1959 Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii Died June 26, 1997 (aged 38) Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S.
