4th Impact has gone through a few name changes over the years, they were first called "The Cercado Sisters" then "The Gollayan Sisters" in 2008 to "MICA" just prior to their involvement in the Superstar K6 in Korea in 2013-2014, this was an anagram of their initials, they changed their name for the X-Factor in 2015 to 4th Power when it was found by producers that there was a group in Europe that had this name already, this is when they came up with 4th Impact. Their perfomance here was after being invited to represent the Philippines in the 2013 World Championship of Performing Arts in California where they finished as Grand Winner, Senior Group category with 20 Gold medals, 4 Silver medals and 4 over-all Champion Plaques. They were also invited 5 years prior in 2008 where they were Grand Champions of the Junior Division with 16 Gold and 4 Outstanding Plaques.

They were the Golayan Sisters when they won the Gold in WCOPA in the U.S. in 2013 , before they became 4th Power when they competed in South Korea and finally became the 4th Impact in XFactor U.K. where they had to change their name due to copyright issues & the rest is history. Jed Madela was inducted into the Hall of Fame for winning 3 times.

I used to compete way back..Novo Bono’s era…( Don’t laugh….this generation for sure has no idea who he was…I nderstand). I competed with him…and the pianist - singer Baby Aguilar….on that TV entertainment show aired at MBC- Channel 11 then… …..i am proud to say ..competing with such mentioned personalites is a great honor ….and will nevver be forgotten…..I lost… but with pride that I got thr chance of a lifetime to be part of a Singing Contest where mostly those who were like me…. proving WE CAN SING …and PERFORM …..are all part of GREaT MEMORIES unparelled !
