It was not stated that it would be for his "family and friends", that would be a big and stupid decision on a business stand point. as a filipino I was really confused when the foreign outlets went wild with what the Yulo is getting (some applies to other PH athletes too but yulo got the most ofc), the foods,business franchise, plane flights,sponsors and stuff are from the companies while the government gives money, house and lot , I thought its normal for other countries too especially rich countries like UK,America,Australia etc. (they deserve the prizes tbh especially with the conditions here in the philippines...you dont have the fancy smacy ]]things rich nations get so athletes here really are trying) edit: Also cool seeing GMT reporter, I watch here in another channel too relating to news stuff, her journalism is really one of the best in my opinion, really admire her
