I’ve been there last winter and what I can say is that Filipinos were never and will never be a real foreigner in Spain. Going to Madrid is just like going Intramuros but like 10x cleaner and well maintained.

Nice vlog. The Filipinos before in the 1600s - 1900s spoke in Spanish. And based from what I have studied, Americans abolished the Spanish Language. I love Spain, and I love the USA. I embrace both Hispanic and Western Culture. Because that's what makes me Filipino. Our history. I hope you could do a vlog on this. Spain colonized 22 countries (Including Philippines), however, when the Americans arrived, it is speculated that they removed the Spanish language. Now, Filipinos only embrace English. Out of 22 countries, 21 countries maintained the Spanish Language, and in the Philippines, it died. :D

U.S. did not kill the Spanish language...tge students did...Wala nang ngsasalita ng Tagalog sa kalye....the last person speaking Spanish in our house was my Lola besides her family was from Spain too...after she passed away the language gone the only left was the land titles written in deep Spaniards which none of us can Comprende Amigo...Buenas Dias..

@@maayongaga729 Ay that's sad man. I'm so sorry for that. My grandparents are still alive, I'm just lucky. I get to speak spanish to them because that was that was their language in the early times. And its funny because it skipped generations. My parents and titos and titas do not speak, nor do my cousins, but I do because I'm trying to somehow revive it even if I know that the tagalog and english population is a lot higher. But how come you guys never spoke it? Di your grandmother only speak it to her family and not you? Can you please explain how the students "killed" it as you said? I need to know because I am really finding and hungry to what happened and what caused the disappearance of spanish in the Philipines.

@@rafaaldeguer3642 Nobody killed it Kuya it just Fade away....I was a kid in the 70's I still hear a few speaker especially professors in schools and some signs in the streets, 1980's we're probably the last one required to take Spanish classes in colleges but I remember we took Spanish classes lightly because we focus more on our major subjects like if you're taking medicine your concentration is all in sciences. My Spanish professor was very mad to us because he was 5 minutes late and we all run and walkout of the classrooms. So he just assigned us to make an Essay in Spanish and met us every 3 months but we took 4yrs of Spanish mandatory before you can graduate. I can't remember how I pass that class. I moved to the US in the 90's after graduation guess where they assigned me? In the dang Spanish neighborhood 😂. Nothing left in my brain. The only thing that saved was my dialect in the Visayas it's mixed with Spanish. So I can get along with little Spanish here and there. Then they assigned me to the Japanese and Chinese neighborhood. I said forget it I can go back to the Hispanic community at least I can Comprende a little bit with my Mexican and Puerto Rican clients. So Kuya I'm glad you're learning some Spanish I hope they'll revive it cause it's the 2nd language of the World. Not sure either why it died in my family. I loved my Grandma but that time she was almost in the 90's and my dad who was a teacher in English did not helped either. So just that....it just slowly Fades away in the Philippines.

Rafael Lorenzo Muy bien. “tito” y “tita” es un modo cariñoso que tenemos en España de llamar a los tíos. Spaniards feel a deep sadness when we think that the Filipino Spanish died out. You have to think that it was a unique a beautiful dialect that becomes irreplaceable... Best regards
