My father who came from the Philippines taught my brother and I at such a young age. He would put us in a hold and it hurt too, then taught us how to get out of it. Taught us about knife attacks too. Little did he know it would save my life when I was 18 years old. I was attacked by a serial rapist and was in the fight of my life. I took a serious beating but so did he and he ended up being stabbed by me after almost killing me with a boulder to my head. He ended up running off bleeding. Not one person claimed they heard my screams. Thank God and thank you dad for teaching me

easy son, you really a sponge on the Internets. If you watched a couple of videos on feminism (that's all it takes to marinate your timid brain), you'll start believing Women are having it worst than African starving kids... check out something called common sense logic. think, question things, and think some more. use your own brain to make sense of the world. China had swords and knifes and other hand weapons, many thousand years before the Filipino even learned how to wipe their assholes after a shit from eating fruits all day. Your tiny brain cannot deduce that maybe the Chinese are good with swords and knifes craft? Chinese Kung Fu is not Street Fighting. Stupid son.

FMA comes highly recommended- especially Balintawak Arnis- this art was founded by combat hardened vets returning from destroying the Japanese invaders in WW2. You learn the body mechanics with the single stick first and build speed, reflexes, efficiency and power. Progress is very rapid, "stick speed" is very fast and your hands catch up to it. One year until scary, after two years very dangerous, after 3 years of serious study, on par with full-time military, spec ops or field ops easily. Something to note: Balintawak Arnisadors are also taught how to teach it and they need students, with a little research you might get lucky and learn most of the early levels for free.

Bruce Lee(Wing Chun) and Master Dan Inosanto(Filipino Martial Art) merge their art together to form the foundation of “Jeet Kune Do(the product of all martial art that actually works in real no rules street combat in Bruce Lee’s Philosophy of martial art.) I’m glad to see the new generation like Master Wong is passing on the knowledge. One day he took me to his dojo to kind of see what was up, the Grandmaster was there some fairly old and short gentleman they put a blackbelt in full armor and that GM went to town on him like he wanted to kill him, the intensity and power from someone of that age was amazing. Love the message and techniques of this video and Master Wong touches on something one of my Masters who taught Seven Mountain Spirit First taught me years ago All arts are good, and people gravitate to arts that work with their mentality and their body type, but what makes the arts effective is how the practitioner expresses their art, and yes this takes time, training, and conditioning, but the art has to come out of you and through you, and all arts are good, but the practitioner really is what makes the art what it is. Master Wong also does something very few Masters will do, and that is keep an open mind, he is always looking always researching, and always looking for what can be brought into his system, and this is the mark of a truly great Master. .

My honest humble appreciation to Master Wong for some recognition. We mostly keep the arts to a small group and not widely promoted and commercialized with most Dojo. Unlike others berates and underrate form and style, we incorporate the influence of neighbor countries and culture that cameto our archiepelago. It can be dangerous to have an undisciplined person learn and use it carelessly and jeopardize himself as well as others. Good day, thanks and Peace

As Filipinos, we used our body by means of surviving an attacker. Start from head, shoulder, elbows, hips, knees and ankles (heels). Even biting using our teeth is part of it. 🤔🤔 Proud to be Pinoy! 🇵🇭

Rem Rens, It’s because the FMA practitioner got past Master Wong’s centerline. It gives Master Wong limited options, and the other guy knows what’s coming. Learn to work your triangles and you can do the same thing. With practice, it’s easy! Keep training! Blessings!
