I love the positivity and the sharing and acceptance of different styles now. It was a much different culture back in the 80's and 90's. Keep it going.

Looks good but can those light sticks stop a heavy baseball bat attack? That is the question?
@dockilat8722Ай бұрын
go try see for yourself do it. dont just imagine
@lonewolf7565Ай бұрын
An idiot like you holding the bat, yes definitely.
@KnightBr33dАй бұрын
The sticks are not meant to stop the bat. In the hands of a trained fighter they are used to put the attacker in an awkward position after the swing is dodged. Then the attacker is subdued or terminated.
@EmmettAsinasАй бұрын
@@KnightBr33d I guess you could do a cross or X with the 2 sticks to stop the heavy bat.
@KnightBr33dАй бұрын
@@EmmettAsinas It won't work unless you are ridiculously strong. It's much easier to use the attacker's momentum against him / her then take advantage of the opportunity to turn that person into a statistic.

They seem to be training way too close as the sticks are just imitating actual bladed weapons where you would be maximizing the battlespace between you and your opponent.

There is no such thing as a style. There is only movement. “Styles” only serve to separate people. Culture is one thing, movement is another. Enjoy and share!
@radicalrikki-oh43239 ай бұрын
Styles do exist and they are a good thing. Without style there is no individuality and culture becomes communist culture. The nation of the Philippines is not one culture. Yes the national language is Filipino, which is a mix of Tagalog, English, and Spanish, and the laws and rules and government are written in English. But our individuality, our true culture and style is division, it is Ilokano, Ifugaw, Igorot, Cebuana, Visaya, Pagasinan, Mindanaw, Moro, Waray and more and more . The truth of our culture expands beyond the nationality of the Philippines, because before then we were much closer to the Malay and Indonesians, and even the Native Taiwanese. Style is good , because humbles us as a people.

There are definite styles within the Arts. Balintawak, Pekiti etc. Same with Silat
