I am sure you are not aware yet of this performance. Well, that's your answer. The first girl is Zephanie and she won a singing contest here. Janella Salvador was tapped by Disney 6 years ago to sing "How Far I'll Go" for Disney Phils edition. The video was pulled out of YT as it got over 40M views, much higher than the original singer. They should have asked her to sing the song in the Oscars as she really sang it better.

There's no regular Vocal gym here, only first class singing classes, that's usually reserved for when you will join an international contest or for singing international careers, the rest is in the STREETS, Videokes are everywhere here and there's always a Birit king or Queen at every Videoke place that everyone respects.

In the Philippines most singer learned to sing and improve Thier vocals in karaoke machines,some dipping in drum of water...regines vocals started in a drum of water...and Filipinos are excellent in mimicking...no trainings or vocal lessons but yet they emerged as good singers...but the real secret is singing is just a hobby for most Filipinos,singing in the kitchen,in the bathroom,I mean you can sing anywhere,any occasion and then you voice is trained eventually...

Fun fact filipino loves to sing that in every ocation like birthdays,Christmas,new year, etc.we sing and it doesn't matter if we're off tune we still sing. We sing in what we call karaoke or video oke where we can sing any song we like 😊

I think one thing that we do. Base on my own experience though im not a perfect singer. Is that most filipinos are good at mimicking. Like when i study a song i always watch over and over to copy how they pronounce the word and I tried it over and over until i know it. And i always listen to it for nuances and teachniques that they do to applied it for myself. Everyday i sing it or tried to syncronized with it without a voice look how thier mouth are positioned in every word. And thats it.
