All correct and looking good for heat reduction. But firstly heat is mainly due to outside atmosphere through windows to maximum extent walls and roof also. With this the bottom of roof is prone to repairs and cracks as mud even burnt bricks is soft in nature when compared to concrete and deteriorate fastly. extra strength of the roof is compromised and if there is a function where some 60 people gather at roof : they will be vulnerable and be sceptical about thr safety levels. Better I think we can put the usual 4.5 inch steel concrete combination and out white tiles which will reflect the heat. Proven method which will last for 100 years. My opinion.

I had done this for my old home around 18 years back 1 tile I think it coast me 11 or 12 rs I had done 1000sq feet ceiling plastering chilavu undakilla ,reinforcement and cement charges can be compromised a littile but choodinu oru kuravum illa .

Bro I had some doubts.. 1. While using clay tiles we have to ensure the water absorption. Here you are just pouring water above the tiles before concreting..is that enough? 2. Here you said that the slab thickness is 5". So 2" is filled with tiles and remaining 3" by concrete. You provided certain concealed beams here but it's thickness comes about maximum 3". Is that enough for load bearing? 3. After paving the tiles, while we are working for reinforcement is there any chance to change the position of tiles or is it locking type?

Reinforcement is placed as shown in the figure, the consealed beam is not 3" it has to given with 2" extra offset above the top slab level . Becouse of the water absorption by the tiles , more importance is given to the slab curing soon after 24 hours from the concreting.

Here we have to use 10 mm main bars becouse room dimension is more than 12 foot in one direction. So that we can use 6 mm. But we used 8mm as both main and distribution
