Yeah Jaron tries to complete a simple Minecraft task in the most complicated way possible.
You could say this is a spiritual successor to "Breeding Pigs Until This Server Bans Me," but it was mostly pure coincidence. Also, for those curious about how I got unbanned, uhhh idk a wormhole or something

You should try using a sculk catalyst instead of a sensor. The catalyst is used to spread sculk on nearby blocks when chickens are gonna be killed. The spreading you can detect with an observer.

Just a bit of help for the tnt problem, tnt will fall for about 72 blocks before it explodes so your tnt wasn't placed high enough. Then again thats also pretty high to it wouldnt really be a plausible distraction. Either way thats what happened.

A friend of mine also filled another friends house with chickens. Unfourtunatly some chickens and many of their eggs escaped and populated with chickens until chickens were our primary lag sourse. Months later we killed most of them, which took some time.

The idea of a tripwire hook that releases when the chickens die was neat... I wish that idea had turned out better. One of the few more interesting uses of them! I'll have to look into that more.

A redstone contraption that could have worked is one that pushes a redstone block past the tnt hooked up to a pressure plate. So once there is no longer anything on the pressure plate, the piston retracts and the redstone block connects to the tnt setting it off.

Nice, video, but couldn't you have used a skulk catalyst and an observer to set the trap, when the chickens are killed surrounding dirt and stone turns into skulk, which allows the observer to trigger the trap.

EDIT: I also realized that this makes it much harder to disarm as if you destroy the pressure plate "so you don't step on it", the piston loses redstone and retracts which makes the redstone block hit the tnt and blow it up anyway.
