I started playing after these Beta versions but the first video I ever watched of Minecraft was on Beta 1.5 or so, and the colors and the simplicity will always be my favorite version to look at, even if it's not as fun to play. But the one thing that's my absolute favorite is the night transition. The world doesn't just gradually get darker... or more accurately, blue-er.......... the darkness actually sweeps over the land visibly, and it feels so much more intimidating and scary! Especially since night is ACTUALLY dark and dangerous in these versions.

This era of Minecraft I missed out on. Honestly, in some ways that just makes it more nostalgic. I only finally got the game around 2014, on the PlayStation 3. L Played the ever-loving crap out of it. Some of my greatest memories were with that version of Minecraft. I only got to finally own the game on PC, and play it “properly” two or so years ago when I got my own PC. I had never used mods before, I hadn’t ever played alpha, beta, or release 1.0… I’m still catching up with everything I missed out on, and I’ll probably still do it for years… It’s so weird to see Minecraft played… How do I put this? Sort of just, Differently… Having come from Legacy Edition on PS3. It’s strange how two different “versions” of what is the same game, can still manage to have their own slightly different culture, simply because of all the slight differences. I feel Bedrock is really no different from Legacy because of that. (Except for the fact that it’s far worse than Legacy. Can’t even run at a constant 1080p 60FPS. Fight me.) The same could also be said about a lot of other games too, like Doom 1 (Especially lol), or M.U.L.E., both games that have had numerous ports.

I played on a beta 1.7.3 server for 2 years it was an amazing experience the community was tight since very few people join consistently. Honestly it was some of the most fun I had playing minecraft. It has some quality-of-life mods and towny so we all worked together instead of blowing everything up.
